Not enough content for the price. DLC is largely overpriced and should have been in the base game.

Pretty simple review:

- Account was wiped.
- Takes a long time to find matches even on easy.
- Disconnects mid-match are common.

For these reasons, I'm out.

Bad animations, hackers, and high-ping players everywhere. Stay away.

Airstrike and artillery problems from Red Orchestra 2 combined with a worse version of Insurgency's gunplay makes this a downvote from me.

The only positive for me was the very well done maps. Maps are a solid improvement from Insurgency.

As an edit, I'd like to note that there are substantially fewer modifications for weapons compared to Insurgency to the point that it's pretty much a joke.

Not very realistic if you're expecting anything similar to Insurgency. Basically a F2P COD.

EDIT: So I've found out the community gets extremely toxic the moment you dare insult the game. Not that it was so wonderful with the racist and homophobic voice chat in-game anyway.

Please stay away from this game and it's community. Insurgency (and Red Orchestra 2) is much better and has a far friendlier community. If you're really looking for a F2P non-realistic shooter give Dirty Bomb a chance. It has far more fun mechanics than this nonsense game.

Normally I don't write reviews, but I felt compelled to write one for Brick-Force because of the way the game changed after beta was over.

I found Brick-Force while browsing around back in 2012. Back then it was in its closed beta form, and looked very promising. I received my key to enter the game and I couldn't wait to play! I had an amazing time on BF and for a very long time it was the only game I played consistently day-to-day. I actually still have the playlist on Spotify that I used to listen to while playing BF. I play it sometimes just for the nostalgia.

Don't get me wrong, beta-BF had its problems, mainly lack of content and rented guns. The biggest deal for me was the complete lack of 'pay to win' in the game. The lack of content was no biggy (it was closed beta, so it was to be expected). If one played often getting guns was no issue at all. I believe that guns were rented on a weekly or monthly basis, with monthly being a better deal. I personally don't have an issue with guns being rented out, as it makes testing a gun before buying it long-term a much easier task.

So, I played BF and had a good time, then beta ended. The update came immediately after. This update cast a dark shadow over the citizens of BF. It brought forth a cash shop with weapons purchasable only with premium currency. These weapons were so ridiculously overpowered that even the most talented players on the game, including myself, couldn't compete. You cannot simply kill someone that has a rocket or a grenade launcher when you only have a rifle.

TL;DR Brick-Force was a balanced game with a friendly community before the final release, which turned it into a steaming pile of garbage.

IMPORTANT NOTE: I haven't played this game since witnessing the pay to win model I saw at final release. From the other reviews I've read I don't think it's changed much.
