Final Verdict: Buy if you fondly remember Freedom Fighters

Freedom Fighters brings back a lot of good memories for me. It was just a very addictive game to play. In case you're wondering, I played this and it works perfectly fine on Windows 10. The only issue seems to be the lack of controller support, which is unfortunate. However, this game plays surprisingly well with keyboard and mouse.

I've experienced zero issues so far. The graphics & gameplay holds up well, as long as you know what you're getting. It's fast-paced, third-person, arcade shooter action. You get to kill a lot of Russian commie bastards.

Hey, I'm just replying to this review again to tell anybody reading that I've iterated on the controller configurations since last week. It's cool that the original has racked up 170 hours of playtime, but it's a tad awkward to see when I've made better versions since then.

If you're using an Xbox One or 360 gamepad, go here:

Just follow the link and then click "apply configuration" at the bottom.

Pressing A/Cross activates the Enter/Return key. Holding A/Cross activates the E key. Everything else is easy to figure out.

Hey FastLawyer, if you're still looking for one I just uploaded this controller configuration. It's meant to work on Xinput controllers (Xbox 360, Xbox One, DualShock 4 + DS4Windows)

I mapped return and E to a short press of A and a long press of A, respectively. Otherwise, it's a pretty straightforward layout.
