terraria is a game where you play it and it plays you back

I've been playing Cave Story since 2004, so I would say I'm pretty much one of the best people to judge this game.
And I've also played every single port of the game, and beaten every single one on every profile given.

This port is dog water. It doesn't have native 16:9 support. It has less content than the Switch version. Which has, local multiplayer, proper widescreen support, and two extra soundtracks. There is no world where the PC version should be worse than the Switch title sharing the same exact name. Sure, the Steam version came out in 2011, so it's using the WiiWare port.

Why not actually use the proper Cave Story+ you already have "made" and give customers the product they deserve.

I love this game to death, and I will die on the hill of the shareware version being the superior version to get on PC (which is really sad).

Sometimes I really think life is getting dark. With all these events happening around the globe. Life does really get dark. However, with this game. "Hotdog Man." The title just sparks hope. It gives me hope that we can keep going, and build a future worth living. The 3 frame jiggles, to the stolen artwork. I really believe this game is peak design. No other game can ever top this.

seriously, it's like malware. It slowed my whole computer down, and the game just grows in size even if I don't touch the game.

May be a crypto miner? That or a memory leak, and horrible optimization.
This game has blue screened my PC from one of these issues.

My full review:

I really enjoy bad games now and then, but this is something else.
The game may be very short, and has ideas sure, but those don't help this game in the slightest.
Just like their other projects, they use the same level assets (which were free assets). Most of the
platforming makes zero sense. The earlier levels do have some direction but later game, the levels
drop in quality fast using said free assets.

The animation for running is a Mixamo running animations which is fine, if you genuinely don't want to
animate in 3D. I totally get it. I've been there before. But they clearly did want to animate some parts of the game
such as the Thwomp like enemies, and the jump animation. The center of the jump animation is at an awkward spot
causing the jump to feel slightly off center.

I can understand if they wanted to genuinely wanted to make a 3D platformer. But I just don't understand
why they keep using the same assets over and over. Varying from game-to-game.

If you really want your PC to catch fire, and support a game that feels gross to play. Be my guest.
Buy the game.

If you've got SOME common sense, do not get this. It's gonna do more harm than good.
