Now let me just state that this review is based on my personal experience of the game. I was very hesitant to pick up this game due to the "state" it was in according to many people. Optimisation is poor, there is no doubt about that (although it has been announced that this is a priority and devs are fixing it as you read this... If you read this). But this game has so many things people want in a survival game... with DINOSAURS! Nothing beats the thrill of finally taming a dinosaur and levelling it up along with you as you try to survive by hunting other dinosaurs and maybe even fellow gamers (if you so choose)!

Although this game is laggy sometimes and hard to run on Epic, I manage it fine with High and Medium settings on certain things and the game looks great with not much issues other than it lagging for a second when a new section of the map is loading up.

Pros:

• Game has everything you want a survival game to have. PvE danger and "Stranger Danger".
  
• All their realistic attributes (hunger, thirst, etc) work fine (or at least I haven't had an issue in my 10 hours)
  
• Although their servers are always full, there are always unofficial servers in case you don't get in. You can also transfer a character to another server (You can take your level, stats and engrams with you).
  
• DINOSAURS. Need I say more? Ok then. RIDING DINOSAURS. The thrill of just running along the beach on a dinosaur or running away from a carnivorous beast who just wants to eat you and your slingshot breaks... ah moments like these are what makes this game great!
  
• Building a house works fine, not buggy for me at all.
  
• Fighting is sharp, the hitboxes seem good considering all the dinosaurs and different methods of attacking you.
  
• PvE mode and Single player! Just in case multiplayer or PvP just isn’t your thing, you always have different methods to play this game!

Cons:

• Servers.... Official Servers are always full! I have no clue how, but they just always are! (Supposedly though they are adding more servers!)
  
• Optimisation. Although they are fixing it and every patch that comes you can see there is a slight improvement, the game was released very unpolished - but hey it is still in EA so it's more than guaranteed to happen nowadays! I mean just look at DayZ and Rust (just examples, both great games in their own right, but buggy as all hell!)
  
• Really can't think of anything else!

In conclusion, if you love dinosaurs and survival games (either, or both) this game is perfect! It has everything you could imagine in a game and more! I can't wait to go back in and play some more! If you think optimisation will be an issue, you can always just wait until it is officially released, I mean these guys are planning a console port as well! So clearly we are the testing ground on EA - take that as you will.

In the first hour I got killed by the same Captain, four times. Managed to rank him up to Vet Captain.

Two hours later, I find the SOB and kill him taking all them exp points.

10/10 would revenge kill Captains all day, every day.

An absolutely entertaining, incredibly fun game to play! I don't think I've had so much fun in a game of this type! It's a third person shooter that will blow you away (literally). Humerous to a very gore degree, not for the faint of heart. Amazing! I can see myself spending quite a few hours on this!

This game is a must for anyone who enjoys the X-Com games and/or Third Person Shooters. This game makes you use your mind to figure out what's the best scenario to clear the level while also depending on your aim for those people that don't enjoy the "strategy" side to. I enjoyed it a lot! I haven't got far into the story, but I can say that it was interesting so far up until the point I have gotten up to.
