Despite not having Vulkan (or OpenGL) and using an external launcher needing a tweak to get it running under Proton (and one time-only first registration to connect Steam account to Elite account might be tricky, as it requires either launching Steam in Wine or fiddling with getting the link to open in your native browser), the game runs flawlessly under Proton afterwards.

It also has VR which I couldn't test in Linux due to lack of a headset. :)

The gameplay might get boring for some (it's like a trucking sim which could get repetitive sometimes) and there could be more in-depth ship customization options, but with content updates and whole galaxy to explore (of which only .4% is explored as of late 2019), the game's getting better and better!
