I'm a big fan of Pixelart but usually not a huge fan of Voxels - However SpriteStack allowed me to to do some really nice Voxel-models using most of my Pixelart Knowledge and appreciate Voxelart more.
It really makes the Transition from 2D to 3D very easy as i never had a lot of success with other tools like MagicaVoxel.

It took me a bit (about 1 week) to get really into the tool and the workflow and now it feels really intuitive to use the Editor. (It might need some better tutorials for an easier start.)

The Animator is probably the "worst part" of the software right now (but it is stated as early and experimental) but there are a lot of improvements promised for the future. It still works pretty nicely on some Models ( spinning parts especially). I'm really wishing for a better Timeline control with the options to Hide/Show Layers at will to create some "Pixelart-Frame"-Style animations.

There are a few minor Bugs that throw you out of your flow sometimes (like switching to the exporter and back to the Editor sometimes resets what Layer you were working on, or sometimes some hotkeys are not working after some conditions) but the developer is pretty active in responding to feedback and fixing problems! (Big props!!!)

The Exporter is really unique and has such a nice style, and a good amount of options, which made me really fall in love with this tool!

Due to the unique nature of the tool it allows for really unique 2D/3D-looking games to be made from the sprites and models you create in SpriteStack and i can't wait to see what others come up for their games (and can't wait to show what I'm working on ;) ).

I would say if you like Pixelart and want to get into Voxels and/or love the unique style of the Exporter this tool is for you, 100%

-If you want to do some really complex Animations i would wait until the Animator-Part is further developed.

Macht deutlich mehr Spaß als anfangs erwartet!
Unzählig viele mögliche Builds und Möglichkeiten, Core-Gameplay wird leicht repetetiv, aber macht nichts, da man eigentlich jedes mal was neues Spielt!
