Don't mistake my lack in play time for lack in experience.

I played the PS3 version of this game extensively, and it was the first ever game I did a playthrough of on YouTube. I was incredibly hyped towards it and still it somehow exceeded my expectations, easily becoming my favourite game in that generation of videogames.

Every fight will feel like an epic battle, I've never had the pleasure of experiencing a combat system that's as smooth as this whilst still having incredible animations and somehow remains fun at the same time. You'll spend hundreds of hours running around Gran Soren, finding awesome equipment and completing quests - until you feel brave enough to face Bitterblack Isle.

Don't get me wrong, it has its flaws, but it's one of the few games where I can admit that without them ruining the experience for me. The port itself is really well done though and the game runs as smooth as butter. If you haven't played it before, I definitely recommend picking it up for the first time.

In fact, I envy you being able to do that.

I get what you mean. I came across a pawn the other day, thinking "She looks nice..."
Turns around, and she is actually a he...Beard and all, with more makeup than what-I-imagine-a-Gran-Soren-Stripper-would-look-like-because-there-is-a-surprising-lack-of-wenches-for-a-medieval-game.

Just wish you can choose to customize all pawns instead of one, people purposefully make female only pawns look good but the male ones look ugly as heck.

@Evanz11
That's not exactly my issue with it, but I can understand where you are coming from. xD
I think the soulless feeling I get from the system bothers me. It's like they just gave us shells of characters instead of the real thing... and it feels kinda creepy.

@TwistedLogic It could have been better implemented, I won't deny that (look at FFXII's Gambit system for example) - but I think the main problem is that it isn't well explained. I swear 90% of the people who play the game don't realise the importance of inclinations and how much they affect pawns. They can change them from the most useless allies to the most formiddable with the difference of a single word.

I refunded this game but gave it a recommendation so I'm asking this out of curiosity from a 'didnt finish it' standpoint. Does the game ever justify the really horrible 'pawn' system? It just seems like incredibly lazy design to me.

i've played the PS3 version aswell
even made myself challenges like goin to the Isle ASAP on lvl 7 and so on
but i wonder if the controls work as smooth as the did with a controller
if playing with keybord is nearly impossible or furstrating i better leave the good old memories settled
