PZ is a lot of fun, and it's definitely worth buying. There's tons of loot to be gathered, crafting to do, bases to build and fortify, and eventually when the power and water shuts off, growing your own food and cleaning your own water is a must.

It can get pretty bad when you run out of medical supplies and ammo. You WILL die, and when you do, your character and it's stats are all gone. It's really intense in that regard.

This game is currently still in development, so it's missing some end-game features that keep the game interesting for an extended period of time, but I believe when NPC's are reintroduced there will be more to do. Quests perhaps, new threats? Could get a lot more interesting. Definitely worth checking out.
