Honestly I hate to say it since the game is great but I feel like SFL: Crush Landing is definitely the weakest in the series which in a way isn't a bad thing as it shows that the previous games were absolutely amazing and hard to top.

I like the story and had a great time laughing about things with my friends like the eggplant joke but it personally just felt like there was a lot less content than the previous two games. The gameplay was also rather "boring" compared to the previous entries mainly because the gameplay loop just boils down to feed Hheily an item > causes event to happen (door knocking/phone ringing) > talk to that person > repeat for the entire game whereas with the previous games it felt as in the gameplay changed and evolved throughout the entire game such as SFL 1 having a different theme for each chapter

I was pleasantly surprised with Parade section of SFL 3 as the artwork is amazingly beautiful and the total vibe for the section is amazing and nothing like the rest of the game however the main issue I have is that There are not enemies for each color meaning you can be completely softlocked out of getting all 3 hearts if you do not play well early on (at least from my experience I couldn't get a green/yellow parade member to enter on one of my replay saves where I was just rushing to get content I missed) which also trails onto the fact There isn't really any bad ending for failing the parade section as when I did it, I received the same ending as if I were to touch her hand when prompted, in which you need all 3 hearts to access. I feel the parade should cause a different ending

I also somehow never realized that the protagonist is Buck from SFL: 2 while playing which lead to a crazy realization when completing the game for the first time

Overall I still thoroughly enjoyed the game and plan on replaying a lot of it to make sure to 100% completion but I felt that it could've been more engaging and unique throughout the story rather than just the same gameplay throughout the whole game.

I look forward to Sucker For Love 4 and any future games from Akabaka

As much as I like the Dark Deception series, this game has its charming moments and art style but I can't recommend playing it until many issues have been fixed.

Honestly enjoy this version more than the official 3D version due to the things like being able to customize your character. However unfortunately due to the issues I'd recommend playing the 3D version over this game if your computer can handle it.

Unfortunately the game is currently riddled with issues and bugs, especially within the recently released Chapter 2.

These range from very simple bugs such as sprites overlapping during cutscenes to full on dev-text being visible during cutscenes, camera getting locked in places and full on complete game crashes.

I hope to see the game do better in the future as I really enjoy my time playing it and would love to play it more without issues.

Just finished the main story, haven't collected all the Monstermon yet but had a blast! Would definitely recommend. Though make sure to have played the previous games first because a lot of things won't make sense without context otherwise.

Early Access Review
Game is still in early access and new so expect some people to not know the controls/abilities which can ruin some games but other than that the new art style, gameplay and removal of more of the boring/useless roles definitely makes the game more enjoyable especially with friends. Would recommend if you like social deduction games
