This DLC is called the Rights of Man... But it should had been called the Rights of Johan & co. They think thats its their Right to charge you for more than the DLC is actually worth for, with overpriced DLC after overpriced DLC. Someone gotta pay their huge wages after all. Extra features are always nice but not at this price.

2024, and DLC is about to become free for all, but the fact - and the truth - behind this review remains. Paradox loves to force you to pay far more than DLC is actually worth. They might indeed be in their right, but one day this "stratagem" will bite them in the back.

Indeed as developers it is their right to charge whatever they want for DLC, just like it is your right not to purchase it. So they don't "think" they have the right, they KNOW they have the right.

"Someone gotta pay their huge wages after all."

That's right, you counter-argued yourself. Do you think game development is free?

glad i abandoned EU IV way back when they took out a core feature to put it in a DLC.

I'm tired pf paying Paradox to play incomplete games for years, because they want to release every little 'extra' later as part of a DLC model that turns games into 200 dollar or more beasts.

People still trouble with DLC concept -- it's "Download-able Content" so that means you're able to download it if you're willing to pay the price. They're not essential for a proper gameplay experience but you can definitely improve your experience by buying it. It's a fully-released game so you can't expect them to patch the game to include new things just for free.

Call of Europa Universalis

Yes, someone has got to pay their wages. You counter argued yourself. Game making ain't free, it's not charity work. Would you prefer if they released a new Europa Universalis every 6 months instead?

do you think this could be worth if it would be in sale?

yes it is indeed their right, as it are their products.

It is your right to not buy them.. so dont complain afterwards if you did buy it, when you apparently knew beforehand that you would think they are overpriced...
If I can do that, you can as well. So stop bitching and start thinking before buying. The only one to blame here is yourself

You actually get some decent features this time around though. This is the first time I'm ok with the DLC price since The Cossacks
