Yes.
Just yes.

Bought this game. Loaded it up the first time. Saw all the parts in the garage and noped right the ♥♥♥♥ out. Loaded it back up a little later and tried to drive. Spent 10-15 trying to figure out how to start the van. Then another 10-15 on how to just make it move. Drove a few miles down the road and crashed and died. Repeated this process a few times before quitting again. Came back a little while later after watching someone build the car on YouTube. Built the car. POS didn't start. Cussed it out and held my middle finger to it and drank a beer in game and hit the starter one more time. At this point it would either start or the battery would die. and just as the cranks had gotten so slow and I had just about given up, the ♥♥♥♥♥ started. I was in shock. I hopped right in and tried driving it. It stalled. I held up my middle finger again and restarted the ♥♥♥♥. I held it on the red line for a solid minute or two and shoved her in gear and dumped the clutch and she took off. I never had the feeling of such joy until now. I start down the road, still not having a damn clue how to drive so I'm taking it slow. Not even leaving 1st gear. Get out onto green car guys route. Get almost out to the main tarmac. Not even looking I begin to turn right to hit the highway and he plows right in the side of me. I die. The entire build of the car and trying to start it and halfway tune it so it would just idle right was lost. I had never felt so heartbroken. It was almost as if it was something that had happened in real life. I alt-f4 that ♥♥♥♥♥ and go question my life... Sitting back down to play this game some more just a few hours later.

It's enraging, difficult, unhelpful. There's not even a hint on how to start really. But it's bloody fun. after 100+ hours I haven't gotten bored. Haven't run out of things to do, especially with the modding community. Don't let some of these "developer says no" or "it used to be fun until" people deter you. They had just gotten used to the game as it was when they played it. In my opinion, each new feature, no matter how much it alters the experience (particularly in negative ways) is just another quirk that makes this game what it is. That being said, if there is something you don't like, for me it's the nerfed Ruscko, there's plenty of mods in the community that change the mechanics or add things or whatever. So what you make the Ruscko look and run like it's brand new? So what if you skip all of the Uncle stuff in the beginning with the cheat menu to get full access to the van and sewage truck. If that's how you want to play the game then go for it. I feel like that's part of the game. It doesn't give you instructions or any guide because it wants you to play it your way. It's still a fun game even with things that weren't supposed to be in it.
