As much of a gimmicky one-trick pony thing this game is, I can't help but love it. Whenever I have some time to kill or don't want to play anything heavy, I just run this, pick from my lame collection of music on my HD and riiiiiiiiiiiiiiide.

Okay so I love a good roguelike. And I also love silliness. This is a silly roguelike.

AND THERE ARE HATS.

I recommend it if you like games such as Nethack, Angband or I guess Pokemon Mystery Dungeons. Be warned, though. It is pretty hard.

So, this is an online multiplayer Action RPG/Tower Defense hybrid. Started off as a Mobile game but then got its Console/PC release. There are quite a few bugs and kinks and balance issues that seriously need to be worked out, and they really should have done these things before release, but I can't deny it. This game is fun and quite addictive. 4 unique character classes(with 2 more planned), 13 stages, each with a challenge version containing it's own set of special rules, tons of replayability and a gun that shoots chickens(As in it actually fires chickens out. Not a gun made exclusively to shoot chickens. Also the chickens explode). What's there not to like?

Other than the staggering absence of hats that is.

(Seriously, the Apprentice is the only one with a hat!!! I guess the Squire has a helmet, but still!)

I mainly got this game because I wanted to learn Poker and also get the TF2 items because I am a ♥♥♥♥♥ for those. :(

My main qualm with the game is that...well...there isn't a lot to do after you get all the TF2 items. By the time you've completed those achievements, you've likely already heard all of the characters' dialogue. I just wish there was more to it.

If you want the Team Fortress 2 items, are a fan of Telltale's dialogue, and enjoy Poker. Get it.

The excellent puzzles from the first game except more!
The excellent plot from the first game except more!
The excellent dialogue from the first game except more!
Around halfway through the game, you are placed in an area which such an amazing atmosphere that I've never experienced in any other game before. The scenery is just amazing.

Now with a Co-Op campaign featuring it's own story!

AND THERE ARE HATS.

To deny Terraria is somewhat derived from Minecraft would be foolish. The similarities they share are blindingly obvious. On the surface.

However, as you delve into it, you'll find that Terraria is quite unique and has a lot of excellent and well developed ideas. While content is currently somewhat limited allowing you to reach endgame rather quickly, it's still a lot of fun, and as updates roll in there will be much more fascinating things to entertain yourself with. I'd recommend this to anyone. Especially those who enjoys action RPGs or um...Sandbox Resource Collection Construction Survival Games.
