I wanted this game to be, at least, decent. It fell so far short of decent, I'm not even sure how to describe it.

I found the entire experience user-hostile from start to finish. You can't set a resolution because they barely even bothered to port it from consoles at all, the best you can do is set your screen size and hope you have a monitor with an aspect ratio it recognizes. I had to play it in letterbox.

From there, you discover that it's effectively unplayable with M+KB and switching to a controller upgrades the experience to "Okay, I only kind of want to claw my own eyes out". The camera is awful, locking onto targets is more a hindrance than a help, and I'm still trying to figure out why they gave the programmers a head injury before coding the AI.

All my issues are well documented in other reviews. Do not buy this game. And miss me with that "the problems can be patched!" ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. A game should be playable on release when I pay for it, not barely functional with a vague promise of future patches. I'm not paying to alpha test this game.

After nearly a thousand hours on PS4, I can say this game has changed so drastically that I can recommend without hesitation or reservation. In fact, I am re-purchasing it on PC in addition to PS4 because I love it so much.

As much as I want to love this game, I find myself increasingly frustrated and disappointed by it. Partially because of the terrible quality of the PC port, but mostly because it is a barebones indie game at a AAA price.

There's simply not enough in this game to justify the price tag. If it had been $20, or even $30, I would likely feel differently.
