Game.

I started as Gunslinger thinking I'd be getting a ranged weapon at the start. I did not.
"Weird," I thought, "but alright, fine."
From there on, the game was fun; The parry was a little janky, and you needed to press two buttons to do so (It's really awkward), and the dodges are really inconsistent on what you CAN dodge, but it was fun!...

Until the enemies began taking WAY too much damage to kill and began two/three-shotting me in a single area transition. Pretty much none of the dex/instinct weapons scale well at all, yet strength weapons which I DO NOT MEET THE REQUIREMENTS FOR do more work than a weapon I've upgraded twice. Wound up feeling punished for picking a specific build.

Also, the enemy placement goes from "alright" to "spammy" in that same area transition - The Osseus Fortress - and you can't shoot or attack vertically. This wouldn't be a problem if there weren't flying enemies that just hovered over your head with their chunky healthbars and fired projectiles that froze you instantly.

One more thing to note is that some hitboxes are EXTREMELY unclear, along with some attacks not being parryable or dodgeable. It can be frustrating to figure out later on, when some enemies just straight up insta-kill you for a mistake.

I got this game hoping it would be something less... unpolished than it is. ALL playstyles should be viable, not just the one or two, and you shouldn't be wanting your players to suffer because of the game mechanics not giving them the tools to deal with the enemies you've put in front of them. I dunno, maybe I'm under-leveled, or I'm not picking up on a specific mechanic, but I *really* do not like how things feel right now.
