better than d4 but somehow at same level

I wanted to like it, but there's just too much working against it.

You now inexplicably start at level 41, already halfway through the story with no recap even if you're new. Good luck getting invested in any type of story in this alleged roleplaying game. There's almost no character customization to the point where most classes are race and/or gender-locked, and even then your choices are extremely limited. They claim there are 9 classes, but it's actually 7 with 2 of them having gender options. If you allow it, the game will damn near play itself like an idle game. The pay-to-win elements have been brought up in many of the reviews here, so I'll just confirm that the scuminess definitely exists.

It's visually very nice, but that's all it currently has going for it. Perhaps the gameplay and design limitations are more forgiving on mobile—but I refuse to really believe that in a world where I can now play Resident Evil: Village on my phone.

I would like to say, after playing competitives and premier, only like 3 or 4 games i didn't have any cheaters or they wore so bad that I thought there was no cheaters. In rest of the game, this company doesn't care at all what happens, they just want money, money and more money. why? I have no idea, it's not like they don't have enough money, they want more. at the moment you have only two options: you play on the faceit platform, but there you will only encounter enemies who play tryhard or are smurfs, or give up on this game and install the Valorant game. we are in 2024 and yet VALVE has not managed to make an anti-cheat that at least bans those who shoot through walls, concrete or spin.
