Even though my childhood was shaped by MSFS 2004 and FSX, I am absolutely hooked on this sim now! I’ve been familiar with X-Plane since version 6, but it didn't really click for me until the last few years.
After spending a lot of time in MSFS 2020 with the Fenix - and dealing with performance hits and buggy VNAV - and then seeing the messy launch of MSFS 2024, I’ve officially fallen in love with X-Plane and the ToLiss buses.
Stability, clouds, atmosphere, lighting, and night flying - X-Plane is far superior in all those areas. And the physics? It’s on another level entirely.
Optimization, ATC, and visuals get better with every single update. The most important thing is that the devs actually LISTEN to the community. I really appreciate their hard work and the way they respectably compete with a giant like Microsoft. I’m also excited that the team is working on motion vectors for new AA and revamped scenery (though you can already get excellent results with a few free addons).
A few other highlights:
The UI is perfect: It's clean and really comfortable to navigate.
Clean Installation: The entire sim lives in one folder. It doesn't drop dozens of folders into your APPDATA.
Plugin System: It's incredibly easy to use and manage.
In general, their slogan - "Made by pilots for everyone" - is 100% true. Just check out Austin’s YouTube channel; the guy clearly knows his stuff. You can feel that real-world flight experience in every little detail.
10/10. Looking forward to future updates! Thank you, guys, for all your hard work!

An Absolute Gem - Cozy, Beautiful, and F2P Friendly!
This game is just wonderful. It features incredibly varied gameplay, stunning visuals, and surprisingly good optimization, especially for an Unreal Engine 5 title.
There are tons of different activities, but what's really important is how the game paces them. You're introduced to everything gradually, so you never feel overwhelmed or buried under a mountain of content all at once. It all adds up to a very cozy and chill experience, letting you just relax and play at your own pace.
When it comes to the dress-up system, the options are staggering. You have an enormous number of choices and can create pretty much any look you can imagine.
And as for the gacha system - I'm playing completely F2P and doing just fine. I've never felt like I'm lacking options or being paywalled out of good clothes. I prefer to put together a new look for Nikki every week, and I can easily do that without spending a dime.
I absolutely recommend this game. It's a 10/10, no question!
