Arcen games makes cool, unusual strategy games. I've always wanted to get into them (the last federation grabbed my attention, but holy heck I just could not play it with any level of success). Heart of the machine on the other hand? Been playing it off and on since March? (I did a bad thing, pirated it to try it, realised that holy F I NEED THIS, and immediately bought it. Sorry dev!!!!!). You play a newly awakened, sentient AI. That in itself is cool.

Then, a few hours into the game, you start increasing your intelligence level, and can perceive time non-linearly. From that moment on, I was hooked. Do you take care of the Meat-Bags, or do you kill them all? Become such a threat the city you live in gets nuked? Hell, why not ALL OF EM!?

The dev has been updating this regularly. New content, etc etc. Which is a rare, beautiful thing.

I can't recommend this highly enough. It's challenging, but Chapter One really does a good job teaching you how to play, without it feeling like a tutorial. Give this a shot. You won't be sorry.

AMAZING. 10/10 for all 80's/90's kids

DUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUDE. I just bought this, and played (so far) for 12.5 hours straight. Love me some roguelikes, and this one ♥♥♥♥♥♥ nails er.
