440 Hours played
I have almost 2,100 hours in Escape from Tarkov(since beta), and somehow I still keep coming back — even if I rage, uninstall mentally, and swear I’m done at least once a week. That alone should tell you what kind of game this is.

When Tarkov works, it’s the most immersive, adrenaline-pumping shooter you can play. The sound design, the tension, the loot, the thrill of surviving a brutal fight — nothing else captures that feeling. Every successful raid hits you with a wave of satisfaction that keeps you hooked.

But let’s be honest: Battlestate Games doesn’t make it easy to love their product. Their communication is unpredictable, updates feel experimental, and calling the game “1.0” is generous at best. Some patches improve things, others break things that weren’t even a problem. Stability and balance are a constant rollercoaster.

And yet… here we are.
Despite the bugs, the desync, the questionable decisions, and the moments where you absolutely hate the game, you still come back — because when Tarkov is good, it’s unbelievably good.

Should you buy it?
Yes — if you’re ready to invest time, deal with frustration, and accept that this “finished” game sometimes behaves like a beta. Tarkov is the definition of a love–hate relationship, but if it grabs you, it won’t let go. My 2.1k hours are proof.
