Only for Nonogram Superfans!
Prior to this I had never played a nonogram/picross type game before. I initially purchased this because I liked the premise of combining puzzle and mystery mechanics and Ace attorney type stuff. I think this game delivers that in spades, the story is fantastically written. But the puzzles jump up in difficulty -very- quickly. The first case took me about two hours to complete while the second case has taken me SIX hours and still isn't done. I had to level up my nonogram skills quickly to keep up, otherwise I'd be very frustrated. to be fair, there are also some options that can make it easier for new players but I haven't caved and tried them yet, so maybe it helps. I primarily play this game for the great story and I'm worried it will get to a point where I can't finish it because the puzzles get devilish. but if you are good at nonograms already I think you'll like it!

Loved it! played the whole game in one sitting.
It's a simple 3D puzzle game along the lines of The Room trilogy, but with a cute story and gorgeous visuals. I was so shocked when I reached the end of the storyline, I just wanted more! The puzzles were mostly pretty easy and chill but the last few took some thinking. The detail that I loved most was the developers didn't just make up the insides of a thing to fix; the objects you repair are functionally similar to how their real life counterparts work. Beats taking apart your record player in real life and losing an important screw hahahaa!

This game has the bones of something really great, and the art is super cute and pretty! but at the end of the day it's not fun and confusing to figure out. I would almost recommend you buy this (on sale) to learn everything you shouldn't do to teach a player your game.

there's no tutorial that really tells you what you're supposed to be doing, or why the dozens of onscreen UI components matter or what it's all for. It took me five minutes to figure out how to start the main puzzle game portion. I have played a few levels (50) and I'm still not sure if I'm doing a good job? I think part of this is that this is an english localized game, so the translation was tricky.

It's a real shame, and I can tell this was put together by a scrappy indie team so I won't ask for a refund. I will just say, hold off on buying until someone writes a detailed guide, at least.

This is that beautifully designed type of game that is easy to pick up but hard to master. I'm only just starting to get a better handle on how to make good combos, but thanks to the many great customizable modes, I can get practice in on an easy setting.

The style is meant to evoke those arcade puzzlers from the 90s, and the gameplay reminds me a lot of Rollin' Rascals on the DS, but it's still fresh enough that the challenges feel brand new. I'm definitely sinking several more hours into this!

Spoiler Free Review: This game is for people who are into art of all kinds, who prefer to use art to express themselves more, and maybe people who feel anxious in the current pandemic. I strongly recommend you go into the experience totally blind, like I did. There's tons of awesome environmental storytelling that's enjoyed best with fresh eyes.

I can't describe how much this game has meant to me, especially now in mid 2020. The cyberpunk art style is cool and might callback early y2k aesthetic, but its really product of -this- time and I hope more game enthusiasts will take a look at it when they reflect on this year. The low poly graphics and unsteady controls gave me motion sickness. I had to take a lot of breaks, but I played it all the way to the end. I would argue that it's the best photography game ever made. There's so many games that try to tell me what to think with their gameplay, but Umurangi Generation was the first I've played that honestly asked me what I thought. I loved it and I hope it finds more people who will love it, too.

I got to play this game at Indiecade a few years ago and immediately went home to get the alpha version for me and my friends to play online--it had such an excellent premise and was simple, but fun, so anyone could pick up and play it and have a blast. Although it wasn't necessarily feature complete, my friends and I played it for a while and enjoyed it immensely. We all decided to put the game down until its full release.

I cen't believe it, but now that the game is out, it's even worse than the alpha version. Button remapping was never added, and playing with a controller still feels clunky and awkward, although it was a promised feature. furthermore, there's a bizarre new desyncing issue I've had playing with my friends; we are so totally out of sync we fight separate bosses at the same time.

From what I've read, the devs simply released the game and washed their hands of future issues (the are aware of button remapping and desyncing but have no planned patches). It's tragic, because the game was genuinely fun to play at one point. Maybe it's better on the Wii U, so if you own that console consider buying it there instead of on PC.

I bought this game for my birthday, and I haven't been able to put it down since!

Beglitched mixes challenging logic puzzles with a fun "hacking" twist on the dungeon crawler setting, and wraps it all up in a big, pink, glittery bow. I know it might seem from previews like its just another match-3 game, but dont be fooled! It combines so many unexpected genres and mechanics, in fact, that it's hard to sum up easily--it's a unique type of puzzle all on its own, with match-3 rules making up a fraction of the whole system.

Long story short: if you're a fan of puzzle games, logic games, strategy/resource gathering, or any type of game that gives your brain a workout, you'll LOVE Beglitched. I heartily HEARTILY recommend it! <3 <3
