Combination of Valheim and Sea of Thieves. Builds upon what Sea of Thieves lacks - base building and most notably private/self-hosted worlds. With modding, steam workshop support, and more additions/world expansion with factions & lore it could potentially destroy Sea of Thieves & their payslop.

Rocketry and space exploration are more of a hobby than a career, but planes are a career and a hobby. So this game is great. I get my airplane fix along with my rocketry fix. Much better than 'real' space exploration. Looking at thousands of lines of telemetry and programming are not my gig. Pushing levers and pressing buttons and commanding a flight director with visuals of where the vehicle is going is my gig.

Currently a far cry from the first game. The spirit of Terratech is there yes, and some familiar feels and minor improvements such as easier rotation of parts when attaching to a grid. The UI is quite different in my opinion and especially the base building/crafting aspect is very different than the first game. A bit of a learning curve going from game to game.

As I said, it is a far cry. I will remain optimistic that there will be improvements within the next year but for now I cannot in good faith recommend this game.

I was expecting to be able to shuttle over to the new planet. It's good it's a separate save though. However it's literally starting from scratch with little to no new stuff. I really do not care for it, over hyped IMO.

Unfortunately this one missed the mark from me, it just was not as "good" in my opinion as the base game or BOYL. Yes I understand the whole multiverse gimmick of switching the wires and found some of those bits enjoyable but there was no "choose your own ending" like other DLCs or the base game. Even BOYL and L&S had endings you could somewhat choose. Yes, I am glad I finally got to "go home" but the ending had me saying "that was the meme? It's just told old scientists kissing."

1. It's free!
2. So much lore it takes you away from real life.
3. Grindy... but not "terrible" per se.
4. Shoulda stayed in Duviri...

This DLC was probably the best video game DLC I have ever played. The Music: 10/10, the Story 10/10, the Characters! Oh the characters! 10/10!!!! It's a lot of fun and very memorable. Really makes one cherish the Peter Clement character. Dave is hysterical. I've never felt more interested in a story than this DLC. It's just that good!

First off, the first game was one of the best things I have ever played!!! So I had high hopes for SotF.

At first, the game lagged badly and had audio issues. I took a few months off from it and decided to randomly pick it back up. Boy was I glad as it's improved a ton since release!

The building system, while I did not like it at first, I have grown to love and enjoy it. Kind of relaxing if you ask me. I am currently only on day 21-ish and haven't had above ground creepy mutants. And on normal mode too which is nice, lets me build to my hearts content.

Virginia is the most bada$5 companion I have ever met in a video game. Brings you gifts and wields a 9mm?

As for Kelvin, he is the lovable goof of the trio.

UPDATE: I have nearly 100 hours in this game. This game is love, life, and the mere definition of the universe. Virginia wields both a shotgun and a pistol and makes great fire support. I am addicted to building one-wheel I mean Knight V centric infrastructure. The soundtrack for this game is *chef's kiss*

Best 30 dollars I have ever spent. Period.

This game is a masterpiece straight out of early 2000s Japan. I've often contemplated putting it onto a raspberry pi and wiring it up to an old video game cabinet from the 80s. It would be so perfect...

I always wanted to be like my dad and work on cars like he did back in the day as a hobby so this is as close as I will probably ever get to doing so...

All jokes aside despite very minor lag, bugs, a random crash this game is really great. Yeah it seems like a knockoff of "My Summer Car" but in fact builds on MSC's flaws such as not being able to have multiple cars. Making money by working on the cars is a great touch and this game really relaxes me so I'd suggest it to anyone. It may look "cheap" but the game is 100% worth it.

I will loose track of time and reality playing this game. One of the best escapes from reality I have had. Despite all the bugs, I love it so!
