Even when it’s not on discount, this short little Christmas Horror game would be worth the purchase.

It’s low budget but I had a lot of fun with it.

This game is an interesting one, it’s like if they took inspiration from fatal frame and made it more of a survival horror aspect (sorta).

The game explores Indonesian horror, which I found interesting. Unfortunately the game shows its age pretty often (it’s a decade old as of writing this), so a lot of the Indonesian folk lore elements are overshadowed by the jankiness of the older elements of the game.

Overall I would say it was enjoyable enough.

This game was hard to rate.

On the one hand, the game looks really good and has a pretty decent start to it. On the other hand, the games story kind of gets lost after a bit and the quality of the scares/mechanics starts to fall off hard.

The game is so cheap when on sale that I am sure you won't be too disappointed by the purchase but if you are looking to buy a top quality game overall, then you probably won’t want to pick this one up.

This was actually a really good game. At first it gives off solid PT vibes, and then starts to take off from there in unexpected ways.

It is definitely worth the price tag before any kind of discount and if you can get it on sale then that’s a huge bargain. If it helps you the game is about 4.5 - 5 hours of play time.

The story in this game, compared to the other Dark Pictures games, is by far the one that is most “out there”. I won’t go into specifics but it definitely stretches the limits of what you would find credulous with the game world context.

The characters, and their interactions with each other are all rather enjoyable. The graphics are good. As with other Supermassive games, this is a branching narrative story, so essentially you make choices and the story evolves based on those choices.

It’s not entirely inexpensive to buy, I would say when it’s on sale it is worth picking up.

I think this game largely gets bonus points from me because it’s lore from the Dead by Daylight universe. If it were not for that then I don’t know if I would have liked it as much.

Similar to other Supermassive Games, this is a branching story narrative game where your choices change the outcome.

The graphics looked pretty, but the character facial expressions are always a bit off like in other Supermassive games.

The price tag for this one is a bit higher than their previous games, probably because of all the licensing/popularity of DBD. If you can get it on steep discount then I would recommend doing that.

I wish Steam had a “Meh” option. It’s not like this game was terrible or anything, it’s just that it is just a rehash of the developers previous game “Supernormal”. The ghost is scarier looking in this one, but the mechanics of the ghost in this one are more loosely defined and annoying to deal with.

Don’t let my thumbs down dissuade you from buying, if you can get it cheap then I doubt the downsides will make you regret the purchase.

This was a short (~1.5 hours) fun little horror game that definitely worked hard to create a creepy atmosphere.

With the low price tag, it was well worth the cost. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a quick scare.

For me, this is probably one of the weakest of the “Dark Pictures Anthology” entires. It’s not that it’s bad, it just didn’t give me the same creepy vibe that Man of Medan did and the story wasn’t as interesting as some of the other entries.

That said, it’s not a bad experience and for a discounted price it’s worth the play time.

This is the first entry in the “Dark Pictures Anthology” from Supermassive Games. This one has been my favorite of the entries I have played.

I love how this game has subtle scares in the background (outside of cutscenes) that, if you’re paying attention, adds a lot of creepiness to the experience.

For those that are not aware of what these games are generally like, they are essentially a playable movie with a branching narrative story (for those that remember the term, it’s basically a choose your own adventure book in game form). You make choices that change the outcome of the story.
