Reasons you should not pay for this game:

1. Uses both Denuvo and Epic Online Services and they released the game as an Epic exclusive at first, they deserve nothing just for this reason.
2. Those like me who paid 50$ for Escape Dead Island haven't got anything as we were promised, for that price, we should have gotten access to Dead Island 2 too, still would be too overpriced.
3. Isn't as open as the first two games (Dead Island and Dead Island: Riptide) which is a big downside in my opinion, otherwise gameplay sure is better, graphics and visuals are better, story still is mediocre, characters are too woke / douche / punk / annoying, the characters from the first game were way more enjoyable.

Now, the gameplay is better but i can't feel this game at all, it's just plain boring, even though both Dead Island and Dead Island: Riptide were clunky and not so good games, they were enjoyable nonetheless, i remember back when they were showing trailers of the first game, it was new and good looking. Now, we got Dead Island 2 which is less in terms of sandbox, it just feels boring.

Edit: Well, achievements didn't work for me, probably because i have not installed the Epic Online Spyware services and blocked the Epic Spyware services from accessing my computer.
I didn't really care though, but when i went and played the game on my main computer (from my laptop), the achievements i should have got synchronized then, it seems i have to switch from one to another one when i want it to sync achievements, proves how incompetant and cancer Epic is, why is it even needed for the STEAM achievements?'

Edit #2: Achievements pops up randomly whenever the feel like it, story achievements seems to be working properly but achievements where you have stats (for example kill 50 with your rage skill), it just doesn't register properly, but it may end up registering days later randomly and more than one at the same time.
Guess they won't be fixing this, if you're an achievement hunter, i would stay away from this game.

Get this game only if you're looking for enjoyable combat, guns are also more enjoyable to use than in the previous games which it was really bad.
