It's a lot of fun and offers a truly unique gameplay experience in that it broadly allows you many different options on how to build and play mechs. The combat and mech building even after 1k+ hours is fun

TLDR: For $20 with all the things they promised and gave to us here they kinda dropped the ball. The expansion absolutely released some new really important stuff but it has so many flaws that they NEED to give a free update for. It generally reeks of great ideas poor execution. You should, and kinda have to buy it if you want play a lot of CK3, but man it feels like they put the most minimal effort into expanding and improving their game, and I'm generally not confidant that future expansions will be amazing.

The plague system is fine mostly, it culls assets and useless people from the game and adds new mechanics to play around that matches real world ♥♥♥♥, it also makes it harder to min max which is good. However if you are playing solo, some of these events are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ dumb, one in particular makes all the counties across your domain owned by you or your vassals lose insane amounts of development if they get infected, this modifier lasts for 10 years is a percentage modifier that stacks with the diseases normal modifier's, and if even one Barony of a county get infected that county will start losing development. Once again your entire realm gets this for 10 years if a plague is even nearby your realm. That wouldn't be so terrible, HOWEVER, to my knowledge the AI doesn't get this ♥♥♥♥ at all. So not only is this mechanic a little broken, but it also is a ♥♥♥♥ you to the player personally.

The legitimacy mechanic is fine mostly, it's just a little tedious to get legitimacy, like I could have easily doubled the size of my empire, winning war after war, throwing event after event and still be at a 4 legitimacy, and legitimacy also just kinda intersects with tyranny a little to much, they should try to seperate them as mechanics and modifiers a little more.

The Legends mechanic is fine, I like that you can now build monuments although I wish there were some way to diversify them more (prob a mod for that somewhere though), The thing is though unless your deep into late game, or min maxing it is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ EXPENSIVE AS ♥♥♥♥ to get mythical legend, and if you can't pay that upfront and you didn't know that you are stuck paying that off until either base 5 years pass and you decide to settle for a basic legend or you get to mythical status. Also the myths just sort of don't spread through some baronies quite right or at all, they are capped at a spread of 500 (prob a mod to fix that somewhere), the stories in them are BLATANTLY inaccurate (like not even close), and the modifiers and myth effects are kinda mid for the expense your paying (which isn't horrible), but the effects don't leave the map, like I stacked 5 myths on one county and then my dude died and the myth effects didn't leave they just said unactive, which is annoying AF. I'd also like to see the person who the myths are about recieve some sort of benefit even if its just a new name.

Its very interesting... If you play casually you will probably have a great experience... If you do however try to do the insane and challenge modes... Prepare for one of the most frustrating experiences. I am not lying when I tell you I have spent 8+ hours on one of these insane difficulty levels. However, once again if your generally interested in ants or want a fun strategy game with a good bit of depth in its game play and challenges, you should have fun.

BTW I am not proud to say this, but still I must. If you play this game casually and don't throw yourself into the fire by going to the insane dificulties blind without any prior knowledge on the level. Know that we are not the same.

Everyone praises AC 2 as an amazing game. It wouldn't be like that if this game didn't exist to make them forget about just how bad AC 2 really is. The only things that are slightly worse about this game compared to the first 2 is that AC 1 is arguably slightly harder, AC 1 arguably has slightly better combat, AC 2 has arguably slightly better movement, AC 2 has more historical areas and events, and the open world is so big it takes away from the great story. I can't express to you how much I loved this game when it imersed me into its story and world. However, the issue is that much of the time, this is hurt by the open world. The open world concepts are decent and by far the best up till this point if you are looking purely at their content. However, this is a game that is at its best when your not having to follow a target across a map or spend a bunch of time buying stores so you have money and access to shops. It's great, but it isn't focused enough on its best parts.

The game is very mid. I am on an assassins creed grind right now and the first game is so much better. This game I feel is more focused on showing off its developers great history knowledge. Than actually giving good mechanics, telling a great story, developing Ezio beyond he's the dope killing people. The game constantly shows potential at being great. However, it constantly refuses to execute. By the middle of Venice I was simply grinding story to get it over with. The best part is reading the codex and the grander lore the game has on the world and series.
