Factions you are playing against are the tyranids and later the thousand sons, a traitor space marine legion serving the chaosgod tzeentch.
Movement is pretty easy to learn, you can dodge melee and most of the firearm attacks with space.
Melee combat is very sattisfying, with c you are able to block incoming melee attacks and you can also finish enemies with e which gives you shield and sometimes health back.

You can play solo, but most of the fun is the coop mode.
In the future this game gets more online modes to play against other players.
