My first ever Steam game. Boy was it a great 8 years, or however long it was. Sadly, the journey has come to an end. We all knew this was coming, after 1.3 came with the true endgame it was only a few years' time for the finale.

Back when I first joined, I was a little guy. Started playing back in the 1.1 days. I learned the ropes, and I had a lot of fun. Most of my time was occupied by another childhood favorite, Minecraft, however I played this quite often too. I found a server, and started playing some minigames, meeting people, and fighting bosses with them. Those times were great.

Then came 1.2, a glorious time. I started my first true playthrough, as a ranger, and was determined to beat the Golem, which I did after some time. I ended up painting my entire spawn in negative colors because I was bored. Those were also fun times.

After that came 1.3, the endgame. I wasn't playing it much during this time, due to not being able to use a computer, but I played it and it was enjoyable nonetheless. I met more people, played more games, did more playthroughs, and I ended up getting into mods.

But eventually, things go as they come.

1.4 is a bittersweet update, to say the least. It made the game look so much better, and performed smoother overall too. The changes added were astronomical, but nothing truly game-changing, well except for Empress of Light. The new Master mode is okay, but it lost so much potential it could have had. x10 spawnrate is also fun, but I only put some 40 hours into that. Got pretty far, but it just got too strenuous, with school starting up and all too.

A game I once knew to be simply three mechanical bosses and some hallowed gear changed into the vibrant landscape it is today, but never to change anymore. It's one of many relics lost to time of my childhood, and one that will go in my mind as a great memory collection, yet not to be added to much more. I might play this game here and there, but it just isn't what it used to be.

May I wish you all good luck in your virtues, and hope you all have a great time, as I once did. Just don't get it get to your heart too much, otherwise it will pull hard.
