This game is nothing short of excellent. The controls are intuitive (after you learn them, one of the only things I can say against the game was that I had to scroll through the bindings menu myself to learn the keys.) The narrative is more than enough for a game like this, and the lore itself gets pretty deep if you care to read the extra information files the game provides. The gameplay is a masterpiece of high speed, high pace jet combat. I will likely continue to sink hours into this game, and may even bother to get all achievements which is not something I usually have the patience for.

To be far to it though, there are a couple bad things to say. None of them are of enough significance to really tarnish my feelings on the game, but fair is fair.

1. There is no tutorial. You are thrown into the first mission without any context for how anything works, though to be fair that first mission is incredibly easy, even playing on Hard difficulty like I did before writing this.
2. There is a little dissonance between what the subtitles say, and what is actually said in dialogue, though it seems that was the result of the VAs correcting grammar on the fly. Not really an issue, just something I noticed.
3. It's too damn short. I want more. (This is a lie, 11 hours is plenty appropriate for a game like this, I'm just whining.

BEWARE, MINOR SPOILERS AHEAD:
More of a personal complaint than an actual complaint, not a *huge* fan of how OK with the apocalypse the enemy team appears to be in the last half of the campaign. It feels just a little dissonant with how they are written to appear, both in the extra lore, and in their dialogue towards you. (With the exception of Crimson, who frankly are all nothing short of psychopaths.)

Aside from that, really was not ready for railguns until after one had flown through my cockpit, so that was a nice "Hey, your in the real game now" moment. A+ on that.

And finally, I hear the thunder Crimson 1. And I'm ready for it.

Early Access Review
I don't normally write reviews for games on steam, because I don't often feel I have anything to input that couldn't be assumed by it's description.

This is an exception to that. I'm so glad that a friend found and showed me this game because it's a masterpiece. Not only is it an excellent rhythm game that I do feel has subconsciously taught me some things about music theory, but it's also a wonderful story. I felt emotionally invested in all the characters the whole time (except the insomniac he and his virus can go ♥♥♥♥ himself ((I kid of course)) ) and honestly had some tears at parts. I also appreciate that the whole game is kind of a love letter to hospital workers, and really medical workers in general. I won't give details but you should honestly play the game and you'll see what I mean.

The game is still in Early Access according to the developers, and honestly even if they drop the project here I'd still be satisfied with my purchase. I look forward to seeing where these developers go with both this game and their future projects because they blew me away with this one.

Edit as of the Act 5 update: Congratulations Rhythm Doctor, you are now the only game in my library to make me tear up at the end of what you have available to me *twice.* The new patient and their story is a very relatable one for a lot of people I suspect, even if the exact medium it's told through isn't necessarily. I wish this game got more public recognition, because it absolutely deserves it.

I would DEFINITELY recommend this game to most people. It is an alright game and as I used to play this game (non steam version) about 2 years ago, (it was in beta at the time) I feel it would be ok for me to write a review.

Pros:
Very good control scheme, I have never had much issue with the controls, apart from occasional screw ups on my end
Looks beautiful, its in my opinion very good graphics considering what it is, a MMO...
Great combat
Unnecesary storyline, it didn't have one back in the beta, and never needed one, but it's got one anyway
Great questing system
Great leveling system
Overall not toxic community
Very open world, and well done, which is hard to do with a shooter, good job guys :)
... and honestly I could probably go one if i really tried.

Cons:
It can get a bit repetitive, which honestly its an MMO so expected
The item progression has been screwed up recently with the addition of a "power rating" which as far as I can tell, dosen't really mean much, this leads to my next issue
THERE IS NO CRAFTING, and I know what your thinking, "it dosen't need one" and what I say is, it had one before, several in fact, and there was no reason to remove it, I don't honestly know what they were thinking when they removed the previous one, because it worked beautifully. The few of us that were there when it existed still have remnants of it, that you can't really get anymore.

In honesty my only real complaint is that they removed the crafting system. It was such a great one before, and there was no decent reason to get rid of it, hopefully it will come back.

Note: Im leaving everything above there for the purpose of remembering what this game was/could have been.

Disregard any of the previous review, this game was once an amazing video game, that was unique and original. However due to the ownership of the game transfering, and the new owners... changing... no... destroying, what this game was, it is now a steaming pile of ♥♥♥♥.

Rest In Peace Firefall, may all games remember what this game once was, and what this game could have been.

Gets in to game sees that everything is in russian. Quits. Looks at reviews, and realises that you can actually change the language. Searches for it. Finds it. Sings HALLALOUYA. Gets in to a building game. Realises this game sucks because you don't actually have to gather materials to build and you have infinite materials, you know most of them... the rest of them you get to buy using... MICROTRANSACTIONS!!!!!!!!!!! Quits. Writes this review to warn others not to waste their time until they fix... ALL OF THIS!

I got bored of this really quick, and to be honest it wasn't even fun with a friend. What annoys me the most is that fact that when i got it and downloaded it it worked, but now it just dosen't and i can't figure out why. Honestly if this game is on sale you might want to bother otherwise don't, just don't. Do yourself a favor and don't waste the money.

A very colorful game nice and simple and a generally good representation of planes.
