Plants vs. Zombies GOTY Edition is truly a timeless classic of the gaming world. The gameplay is simple but addicting, and the whole game is charming and dripping with personality. It's one of those games that anyone would enjoy, and everyone should experience.

Lines X Free is indeed aesthetically pleasing, but that's about where the positives stop. There are way more dots that you have to cover than necessary to connect all the lines, so most levels have multiple solutions. Connecting one line to the other also feels clunkier than it needs to be, especially since you need to arbitrarily lengthen the lines so much (to cover all the excess dots). Maybe the paid game is better, but if you're looking for free puzzles like these, I think Flow Free on the app store would give you a better time.

Save Jesus is a puzzle game where the solutions are often obvious and intuitive, meaning, it is not a very good puzzle game. Any challenge here is in the correct execution of the puzzle, while figuring out what to do is easy. They also tried to fluff the playtime by making you repeatedly play through the same levels with each type of weapon (they are all the exact same).

Picross Touch is the the best nonogram game on Steam. With all the workshop levels, there are pretty much endless nonograms for you to play, and they are all completely free. If all you want to do is play some picross puzzles then it honestly does not get any better than this.

DOOM: 100% COMPLETION REVIEW

If you love completing games, take a look at our curator site.

DOOM is a masterfully crafted game. The design of the environment and enemies, combined with the legendary soundtrack, really made this game such a wonder to play. Add in the fast-paced gameplay and the glory kill animations and DOOM does a perfect job at making you feel like the ultimate badass. This is probably my favorite game in the franchise.

Each level has multiple collectibles to find and 3 challenges to complete, and you will likely need a guide to get everything. However, if you want to do a blind playthrough, level select will allow you to easily go back and get what you missed in your same save file. Though the multiplayer is dead, all MP achievements are boostable, and there are several active groups that can help you get them.

Rusty Lake Hotel is a short but intriguing puzzle game. The atmosphere of the game's setting is probably the best part; it successfully captures the "dark and eerie" vibe they were going for. I feel like I would have appreciated this game more if I had any prior knowledge of the Rusty Lake series, but it was still solid as a standalone title.

Quiplash is a good game, and it's a lot of fun with friends, but your money would probably be best spent on one of the Jackbox Party Packs like #3, which has Quiplash in it. There's nothing wrong with this game, and I'm sure you'll enjoy it a lot if you end up getting it. However, it is just a standalone version of something that was always meant to be grouped together alongside other games.

Carpe Diem is not a game but a very short visual novel. It's nothing groundbreaking or mind-blowing but it is a decent story with a clear thematic message, and it's completely free. There's really nothing to complain about here.

aMAZE Frozen is another terrible game from the aMAZE franchise. You have to use your mouse the whole time to lead a ball that moves painfully slowly through each level. The whole level resets if you accidentally hit a wall. I don't know why the dev thought that would be a great mechanic to make it more challenging, because all it does it make the game suck even more. I honestly don't know how they can consistently screw up something as simple as a maze.

Peace Duke is a runner game where you run awkwardly slowly through four short levels, and it has its problems. There is a different music track for each level, but they aren't long enough to last through the whole thing so it just restarts itself partway through. The lack of motion blur makes looking at things in your peripheral vision almost sickening. Finally, there's just next to no content in this game that sells itself for an exorbitant amount of money.
