This game... is special

Satisfying controls to use.
Satisfying areas to explore.
Satisfying bosses to beat.

All around... just an extremely satisfying game to play.

The cartoon-y artsy fun design is what convinced me to get this game. I wanted to like it. But the gameplay... oof!

The Good:
Looks great, with a sprinkling of funny moments.
Story is fun, and characters are playful.
Great voice acting.

The Bad:
Puzzles: Either very repetitive in design (see image in book, copy image to open lock. See image on paper, copy image to open mirror. etc.) or they are shockingly easy.
Map/Gameplay: It's point and click, but impossibly un-intuitive. If someone told me they beat this game without repeatedly referring to a walk-through, I'd call them a bold faced liar.
Buggy: I got stuck at a part (had to do nothing, wait for cat to scare crow away... cat just sat their looking at Tsioque and the crow), and gave up in frustration. Fortunately, after a few days I decided to try again, and the bug was fixed.
Extremely linear: Even when I KNOW the cat is available to help me get the carrot. The game will not let the cat come when i ring the bell, at least not until I do this other random stuff on another part of the castle.

The Ugly
I refuse to beat this game. It's just an unpleasant experience and way too tedious for me.

W O W ! This is a special game. This is a MUST play game!

Story: 11/10 - I usually don't care about story line in a game, but this one is excellent.
Visuals: 9/10 - Really cool artistic design. Very creative in a W T F sort of way.
Controls: 9/10 - Generally VERY good. A few times it might feel mildly un-intuitive, and takes adjusting to.
Puzzles: 10/10 - Really fun, challenging, and frustrating at times.
Audio: 9/10 Music/effects all great. Good english voice actors. Now that I think about it, I wonder if I can set it up for Japanese voice actors with english subtitles... That'd be cool!

I wish there were more games like this.

Puzzles are very satisfying to solve.
The mechanics are pretty cool.
I said, "Wow!" a few times. Great visuals/style/mood.

Plus, you can beat this game one handed ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) .

Hopefully there's a DARQ 2.
