In busy rooms where chatter hums along,
Beneath the clink of glass and easy cheer,
There waits a treat, unassuming yet strong—
A simple pleasure people hold quite dear.

The warm chocolate fudge cake makes its way,
Set gently down upon a plain white plate,
Its dark, soft sponge still steaming from the tray,
A quiet promise that it won’t disappoint.

Beside it rests a scoop of vanilla ice cream,
Pale and smooth against the cake’s deep shade,
Slowly softening, like some gentle dream,
As heat and cold together start to fade.

The contrast catches both the eye and taste,
Rich chocolate meeting cool and creamy light,
A pairing done with effortless good taste,
That feels, somehow, just slightly more refined.

And though the place is nothing grand or rare,
No polished silver, no grand display,
There’s something quietly lovely in the care
Of such a dish at the end of the day.

So linger here, and let the moment stay,
For in each bite a softer world takes shape—
A warmth that melts the sharper edges away,
A kindness folded deep within the cake.
