Are you ready to spend $40 on a controversial open-world puzzle game? Probably not, but if you want to experience one of the best games of your life, I think you should.

Mysterious line puzzles and tests of observation: The Witness presents players who are in for the long haul with a grand challenge of curiosity. While there are moments of frustration, the great epiphanies of discovery make up for them—if you're observant enough. Countless moments of surprise and awe are stuffed into the back half of the game.

I really liked the art style. Detailed shadows, the physics, and all of the environmental elements make you feel like you're really there, exploring. The landscape is often breathtaking. It's a colorful art piece that eggs you on to keep going just because it's so pretty, and it's constantly amazing how certain things are woven into it.

This is a masterpiece with a deep narrative about humanity and perspective. If you're seeking a challenge like you've never experienced, definitely play The Witness.
