I recommend this game lightly, if you already have played previous shantae games and you wanna play this 1, by all means go ahead. As someone who has played all previous entries i have to say that I feel like this one is the weakest entry in the series. And it's kind of hard to explain why honestly, if i compare it to half-genie hero (my favorite one) this game feels much less interesting honestly. The transformations in 1/2 genie hero felt more fun to use, the music and the levels were more vibrant and the game just felt more energetic, The bosses were absurdly easy and I'd just sit there tanking hits with scimitar up + mashing attack and eat food whenever my hp/mana got low. this game felt much more like going through the motions and didn't really have that same sense of fun and adventure. And for being the most recent entry it feels unfair to compare it to the much older entries. If this was a earlier entry I'd be more lenient, but the newest title being this hollow feeling to me is pretty disappointing, at least i got it on sale. Overall and okay game, can't say I had many instances of "fun" playing it though.

I'll let it get away w/ the occasional inconsistent collision like your character not entering wall-run or mantling and the doodoo voice-acting for Mara's final fight (which was very disappointing). That's the only negative things I have to say about the game really.

This game is so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ good, absolutely gorgeous, amazing soundtrack, beautiful storytelling, i cried, so good 10/10
