This game is really sweaty. It has a dark ambience, fantastic sound and graphics, set in a scary world of supernatural hunters who hunt monsters and each other for dollars.
The money is needed to buy weapons, equipment and tools.
The main objective is to extract with at last one bounty (by banishing a boss monster), but the game can be played in a multitude of ways.
There are 4 huge maps (currently): Stillwater bayou, DeSalle, Lawson Delta and Mammons Gultch.
In a mission/match there can be maximum 12 people, either in solo, duo or trio teams.
Your hunter can reach a max level of 50 and there are traits or abilities which boost your hunter significantly. These traits can be bought with trait points which are obtained by gathering experience in maps and successfully extracting. There is a but however, you lose your hunter when killed. If you get through the first 100 hrs of gameplay, you will love the game, but beware the skill this game requires is obtained by playing hundreds of matches, because you will need to learn weapon mechanics, such as reload time, penetration power, bullet drop, distance calculating, sound awareness, map awareness and compound knowledge. Once you master all of these you are good at one of the hardest multiplayer games there is.
I'd refrain from listening to the opinion of the elitist few who played this game for thousands of hours only to bash the game because they got bored or they dont like something.
The game is hard and the learning curve is pretty huge but this game needs new players to refresh the community so give it a try if you like games set in dark fantasy.
