If I could give a moderate rating I would but the dislike outweighs the like. Its really hard to give a dislike rating.

If somebody was to ask me if they should buy this game I would give them a long "Ehhhhhh..." The game itself has a really neat idea with terraforming Mars and having some thought-provoking questions with the AI. I will say that the sounds and voice acting of the game are spectacular as well as how mars changes as you progress through the stages of terraforming. But I'm finding some areas of the game that are really shallow and not quite fleshed out.

My first annoyance is the drone combat. It feels really unnecessary in this type of game. It kind of feels like something that was added to keep the player engaged but even when I was presented with the enemy bases, I just sent a unit of 500+ drones and they demolished everything in less than 5 minutes. The story ties it in really well but the combat in general still feels really out of place to me.

Next was the end game, I was progressing in the final stage of terraforming and all of the sudden all of my plant life and water life died. I completed all the game tasks and was trying to re-establish the plant life when the game ended. The final cut scene just showed Mars with water on it but it was still barren and dead because all of the green on the planet died.
If I was in control of the game I would nuke the combat elements completely. There is probably going to need some story re-writing done. I would then focus more on the terraforming objectives. Having a final objective on the final stage of terraforming requiring a percentage of mars covered in plant life and a specific number of colonists living in an open city. Would definitely give the player a more interesting experience instead of just finishing the game with Mars completely “terraformed”(The game finishes way before Mars has earth-like conditions) .

Next is about production lines and mining. I do enjoy how the game has gone about connecting buildings together and having workers zip around delivering stuff. It makes the base feel alive. And the building models have some neat design work. But my main complaint is when a mine is out of resources it just turns off. When I first started playing I kept asking why the buildings kept turning off and would turn them back on. There needs to be an icon on top of the building that says “Mine is out of available resources.” Or something along those lines. Another complaint I have is that food production in the beginning of the game is really tough. Maybe it was just because I built too many colonist buildings with not enough available resources but I was really struggling with food production in the beginning of the game. Until I researched farms then it was smooth sailing.

Next will be some UI items I found rather bothersome. In the special projects screen “Crash Deimos” sounds like crashing the moon into the planet. To me this seems like a bad idea as it could wreck my entire base so I avoided it until the end of the game. Only to find out that it burns up in the atmosphere and increases the temperature of the planet by about 10 degrees. If I knew that at the time I would have used it immediately. A different tool-tip would have been helpful to know that no damage would be done to the base as well as mentioning the permanent increase in temperature. Next is the notifications in the bottom right of the screen is tiny. I was working on once side of the base and some of the water rose in a different portion of my base and knocked out a few of my reactors. I didn't really notice it until the trough of my power graph was lower than usual. I then found the notifications saying that a bunch of buildings had no power because the reactors were trying to see who could hold their breath the longest. Also a notification saying that a building is trying to join the underwater club would be helpful.

Last is performance. Overall the game runs exceptionally well. The entire time I played there were no crashes and bugs that I noticed. The only thing that really struggled was the loading and saving times at the end of the game would get a bit long with some quick saves making windows think the game has crashed. This would only really last 10 seconds at most.
That's really it. I really want to like this game but I can't, there is too much that needs improvement. Parts of the game that are really awkward and forced. And it hurts to dislike this game because it has so much potential. I’ll probably revisit it if it updates in a way that I deem may be a positive improvement.

Final note: I feel like an addition of the ability to trade items with earth can come in clutch when you're facing an imminent maintenance disaster.

TLDR: Buy on sale for frontal lobe simulation. Is enjoyable but has plenty of flaws.

I'm blown away by this DLC. I'm a Colorado native and have been pretty much everywhere in the state. I'm also a UPS driver in downtown Denver. Just driving around in the game, I can pick out landmarks and roads that I've seen numerous times in real life. The intersection of 40th and York with the A-line running through the intersection. Loveland Pass on the way up to winter park. The Purina factory on the side of I-70 near the BNSF rail yard. The Eisenhower tunnel. I could go on. The only thing that's missing that I would love to see is snowy conditions and the challenge of driving a big rig in the snow is very appealing to me.

Not bad for an indie dev. There are times during gameplay where the flow breaks. Camera controls and movement controls are very clunky. Visuals are very pleasing I got some dead space feelings while playing. I haven't played a linear game like this in a long time and i thoroughly enjoyed it.

Ive been wanting a airport management game since I discovered Airport Tycoon 3 many years ago. This game scratches every itch of that in just the right place. There is alot more management in the game compared to simAirport. With updates coming out nearly every week I strongly advice if your looking for the next tycoon game this is your game.

Im happy that the developers kept cranking on this to iorn out all the bugs and now I can reccomend the game. There are a few minor glitches that make game do strange thigns but evecualy this will be ironed out. The game is relitvely just like CMS 2017 but with a few more featurs.

So far I'm enjoying this game. There are a few things I would like to see as in more parts in the diesel locomotive and parts on the outside of the locomotive being able to be damaged and replaced. I would like to see a more realistic driver mode. Overall its car mechanic simulator but with trains.
