Appreciate the kind input guys. I do hope you understand my review wasn't meant to tarnish the game, but to inform people that there are issues that do exist and they might have too. I'll consider purchasing it down the line and looking into those suggestions, thanks.

download quakespasm or darkplaces, extract them into your quake folder, I recommend renaming darkplaces to glquake.exe and quakespasm to winquake.exe, they both work, give that a go and enjoy, you don't need both ports either that's just my recommendation
