If you told me this game was made by an offshoot of FROM Software, I'd believe you. Not the best in the genre, but in the running.

The story is somewhat cowardly coming off of the cliffhanger of the original game over a decade ago, but the gameplay remains stellar. Keeping in mind that this game embraced co-op in the main campaign, its own co-op campaign, and PvP multiplayer, I think it deserves credit for burying its roots in old game tropes. All three pillars of the game seem pretty good so far and I think they will only get better. If you're a fan of 40K, this is the best game in years.

If you're tired of Madden and want a dumb game full of stupid puns and extremely basic gameplay, this is exactly what you want. It knows what it is and that's extremely rare for a game these days.
