Crow Country plays smoother than butter, looks more rotten than weeks-old chicken and has wit drier than plain toast.

Not many games manage to mix tight mechanics and controls, a strikingly unique visual style and pithy writing into one package, but SFB games has managed just that.

The puzzles are a genuine delight to solve, complemented by interesting area discovery and high-stakes survival horror gunplay. I loved writing notes and taking screenshots to unlock every door and follow every head.

So much character is given to Mara Forest through her dialogue and her inner monologue when interacting with the world. I laughed several times at her reactions to examining items in the world, which fill her with a playful curiosity that separate Crow Country's tone from more serious games in the genre.

Get. This. Game! 🐦‍⬛

The best metroidvania I've played since Hollow Knight.

Its approach to powerups, bosses, platforming and puzzles is so refreshing, feeling unlike anything else in the genre.

Animal Well doesn't spoon-feed you or explain very much; it allows you to have those "a-ha" moments without any help at all, making them feel truly earned.

I'm a few achievments away from 100%ing it, and have enjoyed every moment.

Great short horror game with multiple endings.
Excellent atmosphere and visuals – worth playing just to explore the world!

INDIKA uses game mechanics to tell its story so well, and I had such a good time with it. Currently enjoying just exploring the levels now, appreciating its design and hidden details.

Jumped off of Starfield after 80hrs as the gameplay was getting repetitive. 10hrs in and BG3 has blown it out of the water, no competition. Can't wait to get stuck into this more.

Update: 100+ hours in and still loving it. Companion quest resolutions are well-written and feel impactful and reward your commitment to finishing them.

I'll be sad to finish it, but glad I played.
