This is a port of "Sonic Adventure DX" for the Xbox 360/PlayStation 3. That game is a port of a 2004 re-release of Sonic Adventure called "Sonic Adventure DX" for the PC. That PC port is a port of "Sonic Adventure DX" on the GameCube. And finally, that GameCube version is a port of the original Sega Dreamcast title, "Sonic Adventure."

Yeah, I know that it's a lot to take in at once. Anyway, the 2011 port of a port of a port of a port (literally) is pretty suiting for PCs. It isn't demanding at all, and can be ran at very high resolutions if you want. The game is fun, and has charm to it. It's pretty much the GameCube version from 2004 on your computer.

I do have some issues with it though. Why doesn't this game have full screen support right from the gecko? Was it that hard to apply a full screen setting, Sega? Instead, there are hideous purple striped boarders on the sides. Alteast they learned with the SA2 PC port. But the Sonic Community took it into their own hands to make a widescreen patch. Not only that, they also ported most of the original Dreamcast assets and character models from the original. So if you're like me, who grew up with the GameCube version but prefer the Dreamcast models & textures, than you'll like it. It's a little program called Better SADX. Otherwise, the game is great, just put SADX on it and you'll be living the SA dream. (I'm not advertising BSADX I just like their mod.)
