This is some high-grade stuff, post-apocalypse vehicular combat and racing except instead of the usual American muscle and European sports car staples it's a bunch of extremely charming (and extremely rusty) post-Soviet road hazards. Extremely engaging, the diegetic HUD is great, the soundtrack is legendary. There's also a really cool feature where you can create and then share custom paint jobs using a picture of the car painted with it (no weird unwrapped textures here). Of course something like this could only be made by 4 random Polish guys, a big studio could never figure out something like this. You know, a good game.

There's two versions of the demo you can use here, the current one (what I'm lead to believe will be the "actual" demo once the full release comes out) and the alpha combat test, which has some more items and cars to play with but is a bit less refined. Both of them are great. Honestly for no money it's totally worth your time just to put some hours into it. I certainly have.

This is a magnificently cheesy love letter to both the 1980s show and the old TMNT beat-'em-ups. I was never even into either, but this is still an absolute BLAST to play. I can't claim to be a beat-'em-up connoisseur or anything but I would intensely recommend this to anybody even vaguely interested in the genre... or just, hell, any kind of fighting game. It's that good.

You won't lack for content, either! Story mode with 16 levels, a harder Arcade mode remix (with an actual screen where you can flip the "machine's" DIP switches to alter the game rules), and a wave-based DLC Survival mode with unique arena maps. 7 characters in the base game, another 4 in the two DLCs plus you can play as 3 different bosses in the Survival mode. And they actually have meaningfully different movesets, especially the DLC characters.

So yeah. If you like TMNT, if you like Beat-'em-Ups, if you just wanna have some fun smacking some ninja guys with a blowfish on a rope, go right ahead and pick this up. Can't recommend it enough.

This is a general-purpose, single and multi-player open world sandbox semi-sim vehicular occupation and racing game (try to fit that on a card). And this is one of the very best ones available.

Short list of what you can do:
Drive a Taxi, Bus, or Limo
Drive all sort of different delivery trucks ranging from a kei truck up to an 18 wheeler
Rescue and tow vehicles with various tow trucks, including a huge one with a crane
Be a police officer patrolling towns and chasing speeders
Be a garbageman or pizza delivery guy
Drive off-road 6x6 logging trucks and fuel haulers through forest roads
Go off-roading in a massive open desert region
Race cars on tracks or create ad-hoc custom racing events in any location and share them
Tune cars with an in-depth customization system including a livery editor and share them
Create a business and manage freight logistics, bus routes, and supply chains

It's just full of things to do. Almost none of them feel underdeveloped and there's more stuff being added all the time. They're gonna put a heavy duty forklift in the next update, for instance. And it's all well-executed and fun.

It's also one of those one-guy-in-a-garage (in South Korea in this case) indie game affairs, though it's slowly growing to one-guy-and-a-small-team at the moment. The biggest symptom of this is also the game's biggest weak point: visual presentation. This LOOKS at first glance like an Unreal asset flip, because it does actually use Unreal asset packs. It's got that weird chunky model aesthetic. The character models have that funky look and use funky hunched-over animations. However, if you don't mind this or are willing to be patient (as I said, they're expanding and part of that is for redoing a lot of the models) it is absolutely worth looking past some visual jank to get to the amazing gameplay on offer here.

They're running out of places to put survival crafting games. Some mad genius decided to solve this problem by saying "what if we put one in Black Mesa from Half Life" and then an actually competent dev team full-committed to the idea and also added some SCP for flavor. And it worked, beautifully.

Your experience with this game is also intensely customizable, which I can fully support because it does have an actual story and *experience* that a non-survival-crafter fan might want to see, which is pretty cool even if it is literally Australian knock-off Half Life (actually, especially because it is).

Afraid? How unfortunate...

Yeah, this game is great. There's a very atmospheric short thriller game here, which is worth the extremely cheap asking price by itself. But you also get a replayable score attack mode with an online leaderboard on top of that, because the central game mechanics are engaging enough on their own for that to be worth doing!

And then, to compound this madness, you also get a multiplayer mode- Uno: Psycho Gambling Addict edition- on top of THAT, making this probably the single best (non-free) game on the Steam Store in terms of bang-for-buck. Genuinely this costs less than a value meal at Wendy's there's no excuse not to have it just on the off-chance you feel like shooting your friends and/or random strangers in the face with a 12 gauge.

This game is great. It's a road trip car-driving-and-fixing game with diesel-punk-y technology (though the car is a gas V8...) and weird supernatural science stuff. It ticks a lot of boxes for me. I have some disappointments, but they're mostly my fault. I made the mistake of assuming stuff from the prerelease material and it ended up being different from my hopes. It's still a great game- no question about it, even if the version of it in my head circa 2023 still won't leave me alone. Also, it seems like the majority of negative reviews aren't even discussing the actual issues the game has (except maybe performance, but beyond a not-great baseline FPS I didn't have issues there). This game has gay people in it, learn to deal with that.

Wow, what? After Lego 2k Drive turned out to be a money-vacuuming pit where fun goes to die, it turns out the kind of game I really wanted was this, a free indie vehicle-builder racing game. Typical.

This game is quite Early into its early access, and has a ton of corresponding jank, mostly in the controls for the build mode and some graphical jank (early assets/weird reflections) and the barely-functional (as of writing) multiplayer. The building and racing itself is GREAT, though, if you're the kind of nerd that likes to wrap their head around gear ratios.

Here's hoping this one blows up! It feels like it could easily be a great party game.

This game is really, really good. The honey-voiced narrator and excellent story is theoretically the main draw here but this game also offers very tight and replayable gameplay that, unusually for a singleplayer game, very much encourages (without requiring) tweaking and testing and refining a playstyle, and offers more than enough replayability to make it worth it between the Who Knows Where levels, training areas, challenge modifiers, and New Game+. I've heard that the later games made by these devs use a similar formula but with higher production value, which can apparently make this game feel weird if it's not your first, but as I haven't played those all I can say is that purely on its own merit this game is absolutely spectacular.

Great free arena FPS, in the classical style. Basically, open-source Quake with a sort of Source-like lightweight parkour system. Can thank Jauwn for introducing this to me.

Also, if there's any criticism to be had, it's hit effects and feedback, and cluttering effects like fire making it hard to tell team affiliation. Even just a more crunchy hitsound would help. Still a great game though.

Very good roguelike 3P shooter. I'm surprised by how well the game drew me into its cast- I thought I'd gravitate to only a couple characters, but ended up enjoying pretty much all of them. They all feel good, moves are impactful, items are fun and funny, and the enemies are a varied and fun-to-fight lot (except blind pests, everybody hates blind pests).

The community is also truly exceptional, with active modding and meme/fanart communities, but within the actual game getting good multiplayer lobbies together is harder than I'd like. Not an issue if you like solo and/or have friends.

The game is quite speed-focused, with the difficulty ramping up over time, which I'm not a fan of but this is personal preference. Also not to my preference is the way a long run makes the player character less relevant in favor of relying on chaining item effects, but again this is perfectly fine if you're into it (or you just don't go on long run loops to get to that point).

Definitely recommend.
