Half-Life 2 is one of those titles which many might've heard of once in their lifes, if they have had at least access to the internet. For me personally, I always wanted to play Half-Life 2 ever since I was a small little gremlin playing minecraft on my ♥♥♥♥♥♥ laptop with a solid framerate of 20-30 fps. So, years later, I have now gotten every achievement in the game and have managed to put out over 40+ hours into the game. What do I think?
HL2 is definitely a game that lives up to what people usually say about it. The game is something you should definitely experience if you're up for a fun shooter-dooter with a gravitational-twist. No matter how many times I replay this game, I always find something to laugh about it. Per say some funny bug or an encounter I have with a combine soldier. The magic of ragdoll physics for one.
The game mechanics are simple and yet sufficient to everything that you will do. You can point and click, or do the sickest ♥♥♥♥ with the gravity gun. It's simple fun that only your mind can limit.
Now, what do I think of the content? The maps for one? I think the chapters are fun, some full of little secrets that you can pick out if you're a nosy person like myself. The game really introduces everything perfectly within some chapters, introducing the mechanics of the game while never letting anything become too unclear to understand.
The story itself was alright, I find it simple to understand, yet from time to time I felt like the pacing was a little too slow but it was manageable. There are, however, some things in the game that kind of soft-locked me every now and then, like objects putting my jeep into some death-spots, or me falling into my death every time I started loading my autosave. However, some of the bugs and glitches in the game can be pretty fun to take advantage of. For example, accelerated backhopping. One of the best things in this game. It is risky, deadly but god, is it fun. I skipped many sections with it, bugged myself into spots with it, but come on. What can anyone expect from using a unintended feature? :D Or the fact that you can use objects to levitate/fly with by repeatedly spamming the e button while the item is below you. Both "features" are often times used for speedrunning and legitimately are kind of reasons why the game stands out from the rest. The bugs are features. And they make what half-life is.

But in summary, Half-Life 2 is a great first-person-shooter with a twist to itself. I definitely will revisit this game from time to time to really mess about with Its features and bugs.
Good ♥♥♥♥ valve. 8.5/10

Rattical what happened? Exo Mechs.

Gud game, the variety of builds and items really make the game fun, and yeah. Normal is baby mode, but expert mode is for the gamers of this holy place called the terraria community. Master mode is something we don't talk about.
10/10, will replay again and again, torturing myself by playing summoner in master mode

Hollow knight is one of the first Metroidvania action-adventure games that I have actually put more than 30-50+ hours into. The game itself simply starts off from you falling into a cave, where slowly and slowly you start picking up the pace. The second you get out of the cave, you get to see the first looks of Dirtmouth. For me, it was personally just exciting, to see that small, yet vast town full of things that you'll require even at the end of the game.
The thing that makes Hollow knight so great, is that you can approach it in so many ways. There are many routes to take. Exploring is not limited to a certain scripted route. Though there are areas that you can't access until you get the right abilities to use. But that won't stop you completely!

The game's combat is very simple, yet extremely diverse. You start off with a basic nail, which you can swing upwards, downwards which of course lets you use the feature "pogoing". You can see it as a easy to learn, hard to master type of thing, just like in many platformers and metroidvania games. Then as you progress, you'll unlock charms, abilities, masks, more soul and basic Nail upgrades! The charm system in the game is just really cool, because of the builds that you can create. Imagination and trial is the key.

Now, The artstyle of the game is just personally breathtaking. Everything about it is just really clean and separate from other games in some sense. And the music by Christopher larkin never ceases to be so unique and beautiful. There's really nothing else to say. But From all of this, I can only give the game a simple 10/10.

There are some minor flaws in this game that have something to do with bugs and glitches, and a few bosses that just seem extremely bs for some part of the player base, but that won't really stop the game from shining.

Thank you Team Cherry for this masterpiece. Can't wait to see Silksong at its core!
