Magog was a metaphorical being that appeared in the Old Testament. Magog was connected to the end of times and was said to "Bring down fire from the skies." I found Magog through Genesis (not the Bible section, the british band). Magog was mentioned in Supper's Ready, a medley of sorts from the era of Peter Gabriel. The lyrics go "With the guards of Magog swarming around, the Pied Piper takes his children underground. Dragons coming out of the sea, shimmering silver head of wisdom looking at me. He brings down the fire from the skies, you can tell he's doing well by the look in human eyes. Better not comprimise, it won't be easy." Genesis, especially when led by Peter Gabriel, had lyrics influenced by religious deities and had several inuendos to go along with it. Our group's main picture is of a Genesis tribute band, with the lead singer wearing the "Magog Mask" (which Peter wore during that section of Supper's Ready). -EDIT: The rehersal mark of the recently mentioned lyric is titled "Apocalypse In 9/8." which is also our group's abbreviation.
