The All-Russian Society of the Blind is a Russian organization uniting peoplewithdisabilities with partial or complete loss of vision.

The organization was established on March 13, 1925 in the USSR. [1]

Since the creation of the EPA, the organization has been operating under the motto: "Equal rights - equal opportunities",that is, the main task is to provide its members with the opportunity to lead a decent life and be useful to society and the state.

As of April 1, 2007, the All-Russian Society of the Blind had 210,645 members (~ every 665th inhabitant of the Russian Federation) and consisted of 810 local organizations and 74 regional organizations (regional - 47, republican - 20, regional - 7) in 86 subjects of the Russian Federation. The head office of VOS is located in Moscow,Novaya Ploshchad, 14.

At enterprises where blind people work under the patronage of the VOS, a very different product is produced that requires the participation of human hands, whether it is automotive components, knitwear, metal products, toys, electromechanical goods, paper and cardboardproducts, products (bulkhead) and many others.
