Congratulations no_so_ana!
Congrats dude! You have managed to somehow create the group's first flagged post. Awesome! So I went and read the post SEVERAL times...I'll be damned if I see the problem with your question. Fantastic! So I pitched a ♥♥♥♥♥ to Steam...guess I'll see how that plays out. I had an idea about an edit in the discussion header that would maybe fix it...but my choices appear to be to leave it flagged while my complaint is judged or to delete it...which I do not see any reason to do. Can you still edit this post? If you can, remove the word Adult in the discussion header and replace it with the letter A. Then the header will read AVN: "Only"...
I'm not sure, but I have a hunch that might fix it...I think the problem might be the words 'adult' and 'only' in the header.

When writing in the steam forums I always dance around many of the words I want to use because I know the censoring is heavy. I thought that post was on the safe side, obviously it is not... It would be interesting to know why, but unlikely Steam tells us. Or to get it unflagged.

You can put a lot much more into an AVN than into a post at the Steam Forum.

Oh, and thanks for the congratulations ;-)

No response from Steam concerning no_so_ana's question. The post remains flagged.

You are most Welcome no_so_ana! I think you are correct about Steam actually responding to my complaint. Sometimes I wonder if Steam, behind the scenes is like 6 to 10 guy & gals and a half a dozen A.I.s. Although, I'd think an A.I. would respond if only to acknowledge my complaint was received. I think you should re-post the question but try to avoid the words 'adult' and 'only' in the same sentence.

To answer your flagged question however...even in harem games, story matters and character dialogue must be better than what is commonly available on X Hampster or Brazziers.

Valve (the company behind Steam) is known for having a very low number of permanent employees. (Verve says that in 2021 there were just 336 of them) Also a number of contractors. Oh, and Valve not only runs steam, but also develops games, hardware, ... Of course much of the day to day stuff is done using automation - like filtering posts for nasty content. That's what I assume, otherwise the low number of employees cound not deal with millions of users.

That would make sense no_so_ana! It explains the deafening silence when you submit a support request, and even more so when you ask questions concerning censorship. Personally I think Steam's A.I. needs some more schooling in this regard. And we still have no response from Steam regarding how your question is inappropriate. I suppose I will allow some more time for Steam to respond, as they (probably) have a small staff, but I think I'm going to try to re-write your question and see if I can't get it to post...I did NOT see any problem with your post as written but it seems the A.I. disagrees. Friggin key word searches anyway! Useful, yes definitely! A one size fits all answer to everything...epic fail!

I suppose this raises a couple of other questions that may, or may not relevant. First I suppose is; is the Steam A.I. actually an A.I. or is it merely a super algorithm doing advanced keyword searches? And; if it actually is an A.I., why is it so stupid? I'm not picking on Steam or it's A.I. here, just asking a question. What I'm seeing as I think about this is; Adult + only + same sentence = flag...i.e. a subroutine doing keyword searches. Could an A.I. run a subroutine? Easily! Perhaps many thousands of them simultaneously! That of course depends on system resources...didn't I read something the other day about them bringing 3 Mile Island back on-line for Microsoft? When I wander down this avenue of thought, I have questions and concerns probably better discussed on another forum.

It seems that we have a 'working fix' for this thread. I stated the question differently. I dropped the original header. Finally I copied and pasted the entire original question with attribution to the "new and improved" post and Abracadbra...the A.I. is a happy camper.

I suspect that Steam is running mostly on algorithm right now. AI is the new hotness, but it takes time to deploy it. That is: build it, train it, test if the training is good, then deploy. Also AI is a lot more HW-hungry and power-hungry than algorithm, which affects the bottom line.

I think you're right no_so_ana. I was poking around in curator functions and saw a stat page that says the number of Steam users on line per day is between like 23 to 38 Million! Its friggin amazing!

somehow the offensive post resurfaced in the "one week" thread. What did you do?
