Rating (1-10): 7-8 story rich

Synopsis: The Lust City is a Indiana Jones sort of story. As the novel opens you have just arrived in South America. You are reminiscing about past expeditions and how your team came together. You are asked to set a couple of relationships at this point, after which you meet your guide and begin your trek into the jungle. After packing in for the better part of a day, your guide gets spooked and has the group stop while he does a scout. The guide fails to return and what is worse, his pack has the rations...swell. Your group aren't greenhorns so you quickly set a shelter and forage for food. Tomorrow, you are going to have to trek back town and regroup, thus ends the disastrous first day of the expedition.

Pro's: LOTS of eye candy and lewds while still being story rich. Very nice CG and animations.

Con's: I really hate being asked to set the relationships between characters I don't know anything about. What's more I don't think incest brings anything to this story but that's the default setup, and it makes for some fairly stupid character dialogues. Thankfully the devs didn't overuse this program/story flaw. The character dialogues are rough at the beginning but settle down as the story progresses.

Final thoughts: I'd imagine that pretty much every guy has daydreamed about this. You set off on an Indiana Jones type of adventure and discover...a village of Amazons. Your night in the jungle has made you an item of interest to Arya, the Grand Huntress of the tribe. Arya's interest in you sets up a conflict with her personal advisor Jyra. Add some tribal magic and a goddess and you've got an interesting tale, and so many girls!

I don't think you'll be missing out on much by doing so.

Hey no_so_ana! Yeah I can go into it a bit for you. Mac Hanson has the CG & animations down. I think he has an interesting story...but he fell down on the character dialogues. The dialogues are not unreadable, they're far from the worst I've encountered. That said, as I was reading I found myself wanting to just click through and be done. I think the story could have been much better...but the storytelling (character dialogues) was poor. I rated it 5-6 as it is a read and $6 isn't a bad price. It was short, playing through in a little under 3 hours but that might have been partially due to the urge to just click through I was suffering from (so far there have only been 2 or 3 VNs that have given me that urge.)
As far as the story goes, it is weak in many places (again, character dialogues) and glosses over some important info concerning Paige in the setup...but it is interesting...mostly. Also I found the pursuit of both mother and daughter left me somewhat cold as it felt a bit creepy. Also the story sets you up as having more interest in the mother...which really didn't work for me. Perhaps I should have panned it completely but I'd like the group to receive a few more review opportunities before I turn the light out on that.

As the story opens you are a member of the idle and pampered wealthy. You are coasting your way through life until one day you wake up in hell. You awaken to a demon who has a 'deal' for you. He'll send you back but the deal is, he's sending you back into someone who is about to suicide and your job is to turn that person around...apparently Balam finds that amusing. Just a little warning, Balam finds lots of things amusing. Anyway your first 'job' is a scraggly young man, who under your guidance walks his way into the lives of Nora and Remi, a mother and daughter who live on farm in the middle of nowhere near a reservation. It just so happens that Nora and Remi could use some help. Your helping them puts you in the middle of a feud with another prominent and disagreeable woman named Paige. Out in lonely places...the rabbit holes run deep.

Final thoughts: Mac Hanson really needs to get help with his character dialogues. This story could have been so much better...it seems, the devil really is in the details.

Great! Steam bends the knee to dei censorship wackadoodles. They're (the outrage mob) getting kicked out of politics and they've regrouped in the game space.

It is more satisfying to figure it out for yourself than being led by the hand...but it's also nice to see the entire game. The people who create these games have deliciously twisted imaginations when it comes to location layouts. I usually find I do mostly fine until...brick wall, then frustration kicks in...anyway I recall a game in which all directions were N, E, S, W and I had to create the map as I went. In the middle of a dungeon the way to exit was Up...without a spot (more than a spot actually) of help I'd probably never finished it.

You seem a bit conflicted on this Kevin! You liked it but recommend a pass...hmmm. I think I might have to pick it up to see if I agree with you buddy. $6 doesn't seem like too large a burden if I don't like it...just sayin.

Hey Kevin, this one hadn't even found it's way onto my wishlist yet. You said there has been no news in over a year. I looked at the store page and it doesn't say it's in early release anywhere. What's the rub? Is the story incomplete? Or is it a "I'd like to see some more of that" kind of thing?
