Uniting Battlefield: Vietnam veterans!

──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

Battlefield: Vietnam is a first-person shooter that was developed by Digital Illussions CE & published by EA Games in 2004. The game is second in the franchise, after Battlefield: 1942. As the name itself suggests, the game takes place in Vietnam era. The game wasn’t exactly massively popular but it did develope a steady & loyal fanbase to it. As times went by & with new releases, the game slowly began to bleed out. It was the shutting down of the Gamespy servers that delivered the final hit on the game. Today, only a handful of servers are still operating.

Battlefield: Vietnam had three versions: 1.0, 1.2 & 1.21. Out of the three, the 1.0 version was the least played, 1.2 was in the middle & 1.21 had the bulk of the servers. There were many famous clans who mainly operated on either version 1.2 or 1.21. Among them is HELLO clan who still has their server running at v1.2.

What’s the goal of this group?

The goal of this group is to bring as many former & current Battlefield: Vietnam players together as possible. From my personal perspective, Battlefield: Vietnam was & always will be the best gaming & community experience I’ve ever had. Let’s try to bring life back to, if not the game itself, then at least to memories & the game’s legacy.

Is it still possible to play Battlefield: Vietnam?

Yes, it is. Please refer to the following link & follow the steps provided there ( http://www.helloclan.eu/bfv/download.php ).
