Failed to activate the requested game?

Okay, I feel bad because I'm sure this has been answered before. But I really just am having a lot of trouble with this.

So Yesterday I finally decided to download the Ultimate apocalypse mod (Full Version 1.73 straight from the main site).

Looking into it I saw that I needed the Tyranid Mod first so I followed the link and downloaded v05b2. I quickly loaded up Soulstorm went to game manager and activated it (oddly there were 2 versions Tyranid and GDM which I don't know what does). It seemed to work. I tried a tutorial because i had no idea how to play the Tyranids, and the only thing that seemed weird was the tutorial voice cutting off after he said listen to me.

After that I closed Soulstorm again and started installing the Ultimate Apocalypse mod (1.73). I forget exactly what I did but I basically followed It's instructions and I extracted it to the directory (C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Dawn of War Soulstorm\Tyranids).

I didn't run Soulstorm that time to check but instead I downloaded the patch right after. I extracted them all to the directory and replaced the files (overwriting I believe).

Then I loaded up Soulstorm, went to game manager (there were a bunch of different options: Dawn Of War: Soulstorm, Tyranid Mod, Tyranid Mod (GDM), Ultimate Apocalypse (1.73.9), Ultimate Apocalypse: Campaign, Ultimate Apocalypse: New Races, Ultimate A: (With Tyranids).

None of them work. The only ones that open are Dawn Of War: Soulstorm (Thankfully), Tyranid Mod, and Tyranid Mod (GDM). When I activate them it restarts them game, but four the 4 versions of UA it comes up with a popup saying Failed to activate the requested game!

I even googled the problem and came across the FAQ section of the mod, where the author said try downloading from another mirror (I don't know what that means, or if I need to uninstall anything). He also said something about make sure a race mod isn't uncommented out (don't know what that means either). But that was also updated 6 days ago, so i don't know if that's a fix for the new THB or for the UA.

I've tried to be as detailed as possible with everything, if there is any information anyone needs let me know and I'll supply it. Sorry for any inconvienance, I was excited for this mod and still am.

I've never had a problem with any nexus mods I've installed for other games (Like Skyrim or Dragon Age as an example), so I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong here.

OOOKAy, so to answer your question. Basically the game is not finding the files it needs. Though I am curious, why are you using an out of date version? eh no matter. You installed the mod incorrectly.

Delete the mod and re do it. if your unsure as to how to do this correctly,

If that does not work, go into your soulstorm folder delete the Warnings txt file relaunch the game and cause the error to happen, then post the contents of the new warning file here.

Which part was out of date? i thought i was using the newest version?

http://steamcommunity.com/groups/uamg#announcements/detail/134326146433421716 1.73 is the old version, The Hunt Begins was released a few days ago. And to start delete all of the ultimate apocalypse modules and the UA folders.

Thank you!!! I think my problem might have been the patch. That's the only thing I can think of that I did differently. That and the tweaked Tyranid module that I never would have found otherwise. I haven't touched THB yet, I don't want to accidentally mess anything up again. But thanks for the help!
