@ UA Devs I fixed your NTCORE, You can play all factions in multiplayer now (Necrons, tau, IG)
Also the game might be more stable (Don't hold me on this), it is LAA Patched.

From my understanding the NTCORE currently available uses an outdated soulstorm.exe executable.

I've taken it upon myself to resolve this issue, and now all factions are playable as long as you own their games, in ultimate apocalypse.

I've large address aware patched 2 files:
Soulstorm.exe
GraphicsConfig.exe
Here are the files patched download: http://extragaming.club/SoulStorm64bitfixedpatch.rar

Here are the steps you need to take before applying those 2 files to your game:
1. Verify game cache files Right click your SoulStorm game in Steam Library > Properties > LOCAL FILES > Verify intergity of game cache files

-------------[UA STAFF EDIT]-------------
A couple important notes on this:
1. If a player has the old NTCore and other has the newer one from this post, they won't be able to play online with each other. Matching versions only.
2. NO tech support will be offered on this whatsoever. Any help threads related to this specific issue will be ignored or linked at this.
-------------[UA STAFF EDIT]-------------

If you intend on doing the entire process by yourself or don't trust me, you can follow the following directions:

1. Verify game cache files Right click your SoulStorm game in Steam Library > Properties > LOCAL FILES > verify game cache
2. Download this: http://www.techpowerup.com/forums/attachments/laa_2_0_4-zip.34392/
3. Open LAA.exe
4. Point to Soulstorm.exe and check the box that says Enable the application to use more than 2gb memory, then click Save.
5. Do the same thing to: graphicsconfig.exe

Note regarding "Profiles" for dark crusade, etc: I name ALL my profiles the same profile, this might not matter, but it might also matter.

@ Devs of Ultimate Apocalypse

Please update your NTCORE with the Soulstorm.exe included here, it fixes the issues listed above.

*sigh* OK, so. I was fully aware the "DOW NTCore executable" (please keep in mind I did not name that download) was made from a now older build of Soulstorm.

The reason it was never updated was because it (evidently) continued to work, and because updating it would make for even more confusion for players when setting up a multiplayer game.
Imagine for example: Player A has the first release of the NTCore-modified .exe, and player B has an updated one. They try playing online, with no success, despite they "both have NTCore". I don't want to even imagine the fustercluck (take that, steam censorship!) of "NTCore doesn't work online" threads that would emerge.

The only solution I find for this is *attaching the relevant Soulstorm build number* to any updated versions, this way should at least theoretically work, but I've seen people to be able to mess up the simplest of setups.

Edit: Also edited your post with a neat bit in order to *not* have a tidal wave of extra free work coming at me, in the form of explaining everyone how this works and why you can't mix the old NTCore and your updated solution.

I understand why you are hesistant on updating the NTCORE, however I hope you also know that this is a Massive issue, and that you should proceed with it and update it, and let people know to update is.

Having the TAU, Necrons, and IG locked is a massive problem, and should be resolved, but it is your call, and this is my opinion, regardless of how people react, true leadership is being able to handle hard decisions and proceed with them which I'm sure you have.
Are you SURE that these races being locked is because of the modified executable is from an older Soulstorm build and not because of the player not having Winter Assault and Dark Crusade installed?
The 2nd possibility sounds much, much more likely to me.

Yes im Certain, I've tested it myself, and my friends.

The races are LOCKED in MULTIPLAYER as long as the old NTCORE is used (the one in the moddb page).

Please, confirm it yourself, hell I'll even stream it for you through Steam if you don't believe me!

Try my LAA patch it'll unlock the races as long as you own the games if you follow the steps in the post.

@bread I can confirm what he's saying to be true. The original version of NTcore works if you have the cdkeys. I only stumbled into this because steam isn't giving me my key for dark crusade or winter assault. I verified soulstorm and forgot the put the ntcore back and i had all my races. put ntcore back and tau necron and imp guard disappeared. confirmed for ntcore
