I'll be up for whatever. Awesomenauts, Age of Empires, Torchlight, one of the Endless games (Dungeon, Legend, Space)
lo debar Dec 24, 2014 @ 9:57am
Let's plan a game day Friday for those who are free. I think everyone's library contains a lot of the same games. I'm down for some Awesomenauts, RTS or if you can spend .50 that orion game with dinosaurs, mechs, and jetpacks seems fun. Post here is you want to play something.
The Fool Jul 9, 2014 @ 6:28am
New Event scheduled for this weekend.

What? A New Announcement?

Yep. :dealwithit:

Starbound server is back up. Detail in the Planet Log .
NominalHero0 Jan 1, 2014 @ 1:38pm
Some of you may have recently acquire King Arthur's Gold. It looks to be a chaotic, shark throwing, castle destroying, bloody good time. I don't think singleplayer offers much but the multiplayer seems very promising. I've worked out getting the server running and I think even with all of us on at once, it should run good (the game is very lightweight). On our next game night I'll give the server IP out but if you want to test it out before then just let me know and I'll give you the information.

New Starbound server started. Details in the Planet Log.
NominalHero0 Dec 6, 2013 @ 9:53am
Also, in case anybody is wondering, we will be starting from a fresh server with fresh characters tonight so that everyone can start on the same foot and not feel under-powered.
The Fool Dec 6, 2013 @ 8:41am
You beat me to it, Matt.

You can also now buy the game directly from Steam:

http://store.steampowered.com/app/211820/?snr=1_7_15__13

We did some prelimenary testing of the server last night, and it seemed stable/lag-free enough. I know Matt and I, and probably Chuck will be playing a good bit this weekend. I know that Chad (masterkartridge) also has the game, and I've extended an invitation to him, as well. If anyone else wants to join in, just let me or Matt know and we'll give you the server info; I don't really want to post my external IP on an open forum, just in case.
NominalHero0 Dec 6, 2013 @ 8:36am
The planets are procedurally generated and you can fly your ship to thousands upon thousands of planets, even in multiplayer! There are NPCs and villages, procedurally generated weapons... I can keep going...

However, this is a beta. There are bugs, some are big but the game seems very stable and very playable. But, since it is a beta there are many features still not in place; the quest system isnt up and going yet, for one. I've been following the devs on Reddit pretty regularly since the release and it looks like they are working day and night to keep patches coming and getting rid of bugs and take care of balancing issues. Thats good news for a beta game!

So, all of that being said, heres what I'm saying: I'll be primarily playing this tonight and tomorrow. I've got Borderlands 2, I've got Worms, I've got some others that'd I'd be willing to fire up this weekend/ first part of the week. I look forward to it!
The Fool Dec 4, 2013 @ 9:13am
Same here, Mark. Unfortunately, today also marks the day that Starbound is released, and I know at least Matt and I are going to be pretty engrossed in it (assuming it isn't a huge disappointment, which I hope it isn't.) I know Chuck recently picked it up, as well. Simply put, it's the next evolution of the Terraria genre. You can pre-order it for $15 and get your key today here:

https://www.humblebundle.com/store/p/starbound_storefront

Of course, come the weekend, a break might be welcomed, and I loved the first Sanctum, so I'd like to get around to trying Sanctum 2, as well.
endfim72 Dec 4, 2013 @ 6:04am
Roger and I have picked up the latest humble bundle. I hope we can play the tower defense games like orcs must die and Sanctum. I own Boarderlands 2 and wouldn't mind co-op-ing that if some of you picked that up
The Fool Nov 22, 2013 @ 12:11pm
Amazon's game sale is up and running. If you didn't get Borderlands 2 last week, Amazon has Borderlands 2 and Borderlands GOTY pack for $11:

http://www.amazon.com/BORDERLANDS-GOTY-Pack-Download/dp/B00CPBZDQ8/ref=sr_1_20?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1385150957&sr=1-20&keywords=Borderlands

They're also selling Bioshock 1, 2, and Infinite for a measely $15 for the pack, and a bunch of other digital downloads for cheap.
The Fool Nov 15, 2013 @ 5:34am
Newegg still has Borderlands 2 on sale for $10. See link in my comment below. I've been playing a bit, but am only level 10 at the moment.

Anyone up for some multiplayer mayhem around Pandora this weekend? :angrytitan:
The Fool Nov 11, 2013 @ 11:05am
Not sure how long the sale is on for, but Newegg currently has the Steam version of Borderlands 2 on sale for $10:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16832205063

I know some of us already have it. Very fun multiplayer shmup.
The Fool Oct 25, 2013 @ 5:21pm
Alrighty. It took about 2 months, but I've finally gotten EverQuest out of my system... again... until next time. I'm ready to fire up some multiplayer mayhem again.

Who got the newest Humble Bundle? Worms Reloaded is always fun (and Revolution for those that I gave out the 4-pack to.)

Path of Exile is now released, and it looks damn good for a free-to-play. Maybe we could start that up as a Torchlight II replacement. Or, hell, even Torchlight II. Or an RTS. Or a FPS. Or any other combination of 3 letters that sounds fun.

Ideas, people! In the meantime, the Terraria server is still up for those that need a fix until Starbound if finally released. :planet:
The Fool Aug 14, 2013 @ 1:35pm
Humble Origin Bundle going on now - pay $1 and get Dead Space 1 & 3, Mirror's Edge, Medal of Honor, Burnout Paradise, and Crysis 2. Pay $5 and you also get Battlefield 3 and The Sims 3 Starter Pack (but these two are Origin only - EA's Steam equivalent.)
http://www.humblebundle.com

As an aside, I have an extra Steam key for Mirror's Edge and Dead Space 1, if anyone wants them that isn't going to also buy this. :Morry:
The Fool Aug 5, 2013 @ 6:12pm
The Darkness II is only $8 for the next couple of days. Even if you haven't played the first, I highly recommend getting it. The story is pretty gripping, the gameplay is fun, and the multiplayer isn't bad.

Plus, the artwork (link to my screenshots - don't scroll too far if you don't want spoilers!) is amazing.
The Fool Jul 30, 2013 @ 2:08pm
New Humble Bundle is out! http://www.humblebundle.com/

Includes Dead Island AND Saints Row: The Third, both of which are excellent multiplayer games. Get 'em for less than $5! Do it! Do it now!
The Fool Jul 30, 2013 @ 7:10am
I miss MMOs.

I've been playing a bit in the Final Fantasy XIV beta, and I really like what they've done so I have decided that I'm going to give it a try when it's released at the end of August. If anyone else wants to join me, you're more than welcome. Pre-order for the digital download on PC is $30, PS3 is $40. Info can be found at the site: http://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/

I have also started a forum thread for listing character/server info for MMOs that anyone might play. If you have any that you want to add that might be played in the future, feel free to reply to the thread: http://steamcommunity.com/groups/time-honored/discussions/1/864974880477555482/

I kinda doubt that FFXIV will interest me for more than a month (no MMO has after EverQuest and City of Heroes), but I'll at least give it a chance. I really do like the class system they've implemented, so who knows?
The Fool Jul 29, 2013 @ 7:57am
I would highly recommend everyone check out Starbound. It's not on Steam (yet), but is available for pre-order now: http://playstarbound.com/

It's similar to Terraria, but appears to be infinitely bigger. They're making very fast progress on the game, and it's already enormous. Not only can you mine/fight/build/etc. like in Terraria, you can also TRAVEL THROUGH SPACE TO OTHER PLANETS to do the same. I've got a second PC that I'll probably use to run a dedicated server once the beta is finally out, and I can see a lot of multiplayer fun to be had.

Go to the site, check it out, and pre-order!

Anyone want a coupon for Toki Tori 2 or Alan Wake?
The Fool Jul 24, 2013 @ 10:20am
I'll be free again tonight - kinda itching for some Awesomenauts, so I'll probably play that for a whlie. Everyone's more than welcome to join in.
The Fool Jul 23, 2013 @ 4:41pm
Well, I just got home and settled in. I see Chuck and Roger online - probably about to log into Raidcall to see what's up. Jen's at her family for a couple of hours, so I should have a while that I'm free. Log in, join up!
NominalHero0 Jul 23, 2013 @ 4:32pm
I'm about to start work on a test and some other school work but, I might be able to game for a little while (seriously, probably not very long). But, if yall get something going I'll see what I can do.

The Fool Jul 23, 2013 @ 5:42am
I'm probably going to be available for a bit tonight and tomorrow night if anyone wants to get a game of something together. I'll be up for whatever!
The Fool Jul 22, 2013 @ 8:01am
I'd say this weekend was pretty successful. I had fun, everyone, and look forward to doing it again! :clunk:
NominalHero0 Jul 20, 2013 @ 7:19am
I know it's not my strong suit but I am looking forward to getting some big games going here!
