How To Choke 101

As we sit within our spawns as the round clock ticks backward toward zero we ask ourselves many questions:

"Am I going to die today?"

"Will I call cheats on the opposing team?"

"Am I going to play poorly today and will I have to resort to telling my teammates, and the other team, that I am not trying?"

Let me ask you something. Have you ever played a game at some point in time where you thought to yourself "I can not do this." A game that you talked yourself out of playing because you had already given up before even half of the game had been played through. What are the reasons that you can think of that drove you to feel this way?


It's easy to be on the bottom of the scoreboard. It doesn't take any motivation or any drive to stay down there at a low level. It doesn't take any effort to be a loser (drake.)

It's a lonely feeling when everyone on your team is against you. People that you are trying to play well for. It's a lonely feeling being at the bottom of the scoreboard. Those players at the top of the scoreboard are staring down at you and wondering if they happened to have a different teammate, whether they would be winning this game or not.

THERE IS GREATNESS WITHIN YOU!

Greatness is a lot of small things done well. Day, after day, deathmatch after deathmatch, aim map after aim map. Day, after day.


It calls on everything within you to tell yourself that you are going to challenge yourself today. No matter what happens within this game you are going to look at your mistakes each round and change the potential outcome of what will happen within that situation the next round.

You will not scream.

You will not ask your teammates and yourself:

"Why in the fuck is that player there?"

Instead, you will allow yourself to understand that you were beaten regardless of whether it makes sense or not and take the knowledge you have gained forward to the next round. What you did last round no longer matters. If you do not take advantage of the knowledge you have gained from the prior round, it will mean absolutely nothing to you and your team. If you do not understand and analyze what went wrong, you will continue to make the same mistakes round after round.

IF YOU DO NOT CHANGE YOUR MIND THE SAME EXPERIENCE AND OUTCOME WILL OCCUR AND PERPETUATE ITSELF OVER AND OVER AGAIN BECAUSE NOTHING INWARDLY CHANGED YET THE SAME GAME IS OCCURING OUTWARDLY. YOU CONTINUE TO MAKE THE SAME PLAY AND SAME MISTAKES AND INTURN, YOU DIE.


As opposed to saying:

"No I cannot play this game anymore."

"Fuckin' 64 tick servers mate."

"My fuckin' variance mate"

I want you to say YES. YES to your potential. YES to the future rounds. I want you to go out there each round and FIGHT FOR IT.

WHEN YOU DIE, DIE ON E. LEAVE NO DREAM LEFT BEHIND GUYS. LEAVE NO OPPORTUNITY LEFT BEHIND. WHEN YOU LEAVE THIS SERVER ACCOMPLISH EVERY SINGLE THING YOU HAD WANTED TO ACCOMPLISH PRIOR TO CONNECTING.

Leave no bullets unused. Leave no shots not taken. Leave no flashbangs not thrown.

YOU'RE GOING TO GET TO GLOBAL ONE DAY BUT YOU WILL NEVER GET THERE IF YOU GIVE UP, IF YOU GIVE IN, IF YOU QUIT!

THERE ARE THINGS THAT YOU THINK YOU ARE NEVER GOING TO NEED TO KNOW WITHIN THIS GAME THAT YOU MAY ONLY NEED TO KNOW ONE TIME WITHIN YOUR LIFE BUT THAT COULD SAVE YOUR LIFE BECAUSE YOU HAD THAT KNOWLEDGE!

You don't beg average people to be phenomenal. You don't beg good people to be phenomenal. YOU JUST ARE PHENOMENAL AND YOU WILL CREATE PHENOMENAL PLAYS. THERE IS NO ROOM ON COUNTER-STRIKE FOR AN AVERAGE PLAYER; WE HAVE ENOUGH OF THOSE PLAYERS. YOU MUST BE PHENOMENAL.
