The Road of a Walker

And thus, the Road chanted, and the first laws of the Road were born. And shan't they not be followed, to road will curve and twist, and Walker will bring bad luck to whoever he may encounter.

The Walkers stole from the living, and in response the Road chanted. '' Thou shan't steal from those who remain yet to live another day, for they need it more than thou. ''

The Walkers killed before talking, and in response the Road chanted. '' Thou shan't talk to the people before thee make a decision, for appearance does not always cover what a human is. ''

The Walkers settled down in one place, and in response the Road chanted. '' Thou shan't stay in one place, for the luck of a Walker must be spread everywhere. ''

The Walkers took more than they needed, and in response the Road chanted. '' Thou shan't take enough to survive, never more, for others may need it more than you. ''

The Walkers stayed away from other people, fearing them, and in response the Road chanted. '' Thou shan't stay away from others, for everyone has some kindness in himself. All thee must do is expose it. ''

There was only one exception to these chants. The first Walker to settle down in a place he can call his own. His name, nobody knows. The only one who goes near him is his dog Cruefix. However, he manages the center. The only place a Walker may ever call his home.

The only words anyone ever heard from him were '' .. we are just humans. Except me. I am a person.. perhaps in your eyes, I am but a human.. and you are a person.. that's how it's meant to be. What the difference is between a person and a human? Only the Road knows.. ''

In 2502 A.G.W he saved the Center, and the city prospered under his rule. Nobody ever saw him, everyone knew he was there. The ashes stopped, and the Ashwalkers came out.

This is how it's meant to be, and so it is.
