our group will help anybody in need of a guide to play as spy
from when to backstab an unsuspecting sniper
to which items to use in what situation
and how to not look suspicious (damn pyro)
if you are knew to TF2 and need help with spy, dont be afraid to join
but we dont help with any other classes, why? because:
1. the other classes are not le francais
2. spy is a very difficult class to learn
3. im not much of a teacher

LE MASTER OF DISHGUISE

im an idiot. i sould have made this announcment first instead of going to something more complicated. forgive me ;__;

SPIES LOADOUT:
health: 125 (185 when overhealed)
speed: depends on disguise
personality: A very mature man with a way for the ladies

SPIES ROLE:
-can disguise as the enemy and cloak (go invisible)
-able to stab the enemy in the back for a one hit kill
-has a device called a "sapper" that can be put on sentries to disable and destroy them
-has a revolver, a pistol that can come in handy when finishing a target at low health

SPIES LOADOUT:
primary: revolver
secondary: sapper
melee: butterfly knife
PDA: disguise kit
other: invis watch

THE DISGUISE:
to disguise, you need to switch your weapon to the disguise kit, and in it you will see a list of all 9 classes, each labled with a number. press that number
to disguise as that class. while disguised, your team will see you wearing a mask of that class while the enemy sees you as that class. how does this work? its TF2 logic, deal with it. note that if you disguise as a class, you will be as fast as that class. so if you disguise as a heavy, you will be REALLY slow. so dont disguise as heavy. when you are disguised as a player you will look EXACTLY LIKE that player. having the same hats and weapons. be wary that if that player sees you disguised as him, he WILL know you are a spy. too confusing? heres an example:

a guy on the enemy team is named "xXswagl0rdXx"
he is a soilder covered with pink and green hats
you disguise as a soilder and end up as him
he sees you and then stuffs your face with rockets
he taunts on your dead body
you facepalm hard

there you go. simple, right? so if you see that you disguised as a guy covered with hats and too reconizable, change the disguise. a good disguise should look like a player with no hats, so you blend in easier.

LE KNIFE:
your teeny knife can easily kill a player if you backstab them, and that means ANYONE. to backstab, simply go behind a player while disguised,
and if you are close enough your spy will hold the knife in his hand upside down. then when you attack, he will emmediatley die and you will lose your disguise. if you want to go unnoticed, kill your enemies when there is not alot of enemies around you, or else they will all know. but if you want to go reckless, go way behind them and continously run while backstabbing
evreyone in your way. its your choice.

How To Dead Ringer

the dead ringer is an invis watch for the spy that can make the player fake his death, turning invisible while leaving behind a fake corpse. seeing that it is the most loved/hated watch of them all, ill start with this one.

LE STATS:
cloak type: freign death leaving a fake corpse on taking
damage temorarily gain invisibility, speed boost, and damage resistance.
+50% cloak regen rate
+40% cloak duration
-50% cloak meter when freign death is activated
no cloak from ammo boxes when invisible
-35% cloak meter from ammo boxes when visible

as you can see, this watch had changed the game for spy. instaed of playing hidden and secret, the ringer lets you play reckless and offensive.
this had made it a favorite for tryhards and an abdomination to other players,
making it both loved and hated.

unlike turning invisible automatically when you right-click, the ringer is held in the spy's left hand, and if the player takes damage when holding it, the fake death will be triggered. you then have the right amount of time to run away out of the enemies sight. the freign death can be triggered by ANY type of damage. from rockets, to bullets, and even fall damage.
please note that you cannot use weapons while holding the ringer, so if you want to stab, sap, or shoot, simply right-click again to put the watch back in spies pocket.

it does not takes a skilled player to know when a spy has used dead ringer. here are the ways they will know if your just faking it:
1. if they accidentally bump into you, they and all their team mates will see you. be wary of this, and stay clear of other enemies
2. if your freign death is triggered by fire, you will still be on fire. making you
visible to everyone. STAY AWAY FROM PYRO. if you cannot escape the pyro, simply equip the SPY-CICLE with the ringer, the spycicle will make you immune to fire for about 3 seconds, enough to run away from the pyro.
but when the fire immunity is triggered, the spy-cicle will melt. and you have to wait awhile to get it back (30 seconds give or take)
3. using your dead ringer right when you are damaged will make it too obvious and the enemy might know that you are faking it.
allow them to damage you a little bit THEN use the ringer, but only do this for stuff like pistols, shotguns and meelee weapons. NOT for rockets and grenades. or else that will kill you
4. there is this ANNOYING GLITCH that makes your fake dead body all twisted, and it has not been fixed. only the best players will notice this, so dont really mind.
